The hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk from the Central Station. From the hotel it takes more or less 10 minutes to walk to the actual city center and about 15 minutes to the old town. Since the scenery is beautiful, walking is definitely not a punishment. Even though modern, I liked and enjoyed the room very much as... more

No concern about the hotel... If you look for a comfortable and convenient hotel to stay, ArcOtel is suitable. The double room price per night was 109 EUR at reservation sites, the hotel's price at the door was 136 EUR. The room was spacious, the bathroom was very clean... There is a DVD/DivX player bottom of the TV. The breakfast... more

We are a couple from Australia who traveled by train from Venice and arrived in Zagreb early in the morning. We chose this hotel because of its central location and short distance from the main railway station and bus services to the airport. The 24/7 front desk service was always helpful, efficient and understanding. The room was clean, specious and... more

The Arcotel isn't so much a 'design hotel' as a well-designed hotel for people who prefer a simple, minimalist space to return to at the end of the day. It may not have the expensive touches of some boutique hotels, but you're also not spending 400 euro a night. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and... more

I booked this hotel myself as an afterthought and was sorry from the time that I checked in. First of all, I was going to be at the hotel for less than 8 hours from check-in until wake-up call. I was barely going to use anything except maybe the internet center. First of all, this is NOT a 4 or... more

Expensive Superficially Stylish Hotel that fails to deliver real value or real quality, try else where. Arcotel Plus Points The location of the hotel is pretty okay. Easy to find on main road between rail and bus station. Easy to Walk to either train (5 mins) or bus station/airport bus (10 Mins ) – avoids taxis which are expensive. Old... more

We have just returned from 4 nights at the Arcotel. It is listed as 4* on several websites but this is most definately no more than a 3*. Although it tries hard to be the new funky modern hotel 'on the block' trying to attract the younger clients, it fails miserably. The main bar/reception area does seem to attract a... more

When I book a 4 star hotel I don't expect it to be an average 3 star one especially with the price I paid. I was really disappointed. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom as well but everything was so so basic that really I couldn't understand why this hotel earned a 4 star ranking. You have 1... more

I have to say I'm astonished that this hotel has received such positive reviews. I found it MASSIVELY overpriced at 140 euros per night for a small room, poorly decorated, without proper curtains and a very sparsely made bed, with one flimsy pillow and a tiny duvet. Breakfast is included in the rate but was in my opinion the worst... more

Stayed at the Arcotel Allegra from 24/09/2008 to 29/09/2008 & have to confess it was the best thing about our stay in Zagreb! Even managed to get a good deal on www.holidaynights.co.uk - approx GBP80 instead of the GBP100+. The staff were all very helpful & friendly. The buffet breakfast was our best meal of the day - my boyfriend... more
