Spent 2 nights here and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. In a great location to walk to all the sites and the old city, with several great restaurants near by. Large room and bathroom facilities, with excellent wifi and breakfast selection. Highly recommend.

And everything works. The staff is very nice, though you need at times to understand the dry wit of Croatians to realize how friendly they are. Breakfast is a fine international array of foods. I liked the "Heritage" foods from the Zagreb area best. We had a charming view of 19th century buildings from our window at the back of... More

Couldn't be closer to most of what a new visitor would want to see in Zagreb. A few nits -- leaky bathroom fixtures, a convoluted and inadequate parking situation, and the rooms were small, even by Euro standards. But the bed was comfortable, the wifi was passable, the air conditioner worked, and we slept reasonably well. Nice, breakfast service in... More

The Palace hotel is in such a great location, just a few minutes walk into the heart of Zagreb and all the great museums are within walking distance. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. The rooms are quite spacious and very well appointed. The bedding was very comfortable. The hotel provides free wifi. Overall it's was... More

This famous centrally located hotel provided a fantastic base for us to explore the old city and the surrounds over 3 days. The hotel has a classy charm, the staff are friendly and helpful plus they have a great restaurant Our room was very adequate in size and quality and being at the rear had both a garden view and... clean rooms, and pleasant staff, but no atmosphere and a very depressing dining room without windows for the euro breakfast. Excellent free wifi worked all over the hotel. Just a shame that the soul is buried under generic hotel decor and furnishings.

Firstly, my girlfriend and I chose this hotel because of its close proximity to both the train station and the centre of the city. It's approximately a 10 minute walk from both, so in terms of location its a very good choice! It's also worth noting that there is a tram stop extremely close to the hotel. The building is... More

Room clean but tiny. Shower was blocked but was straight away fixed when told. Heating system was on , which is not needed for the meantime.making room very hot . Was told to leave window open to solve problem, but didn't solve it. Breakfast is rich and nice. Hotel going through some renovations maybe should work on having more helpful... More

We stayed here with a tour group of 13 people. Several of us had to change rooms because things didn't work: broken safes, defective air conditioning controls, etc. If you are assigned a room with a 700 number, you must take a special elevator off to the side of the hotel with floor numbers that only go up to 6.... The dates 1891-1991 above the entry presumably were added at the hotel's centennial. We would have loved it in its heyday. Alas, it has undergone a less-than-inspired renovation. It was expanded into adjacent buildings with different floor levels; to reach our room we had to ride the elevator up, then walk down almost a full flight of stairs. The renovated... More
