The Esplanade is a hotel that doesn't leave a lot to wish for. The bed was very comfortable, I liked the pillows. The bathroom had both a shower and a separate bathtub, very nice not to have to shower in a bathtub but still with a possibility to have a bath. I was on 5th floor and didn't hear a... More

The hotel is grand and classic, the location is very conveniently although it's a bit of a walk to the Ban Jelačić Square/sightseeing area. The staff at check-in and check-out were super friendly and that gave a very good impression of the hotel. (Other staff were not as warm but were still helpful.) The room was spacious, we added an... We stayed here for a bachelor party in June. The hotel building itself was very impressive. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We sat out on the terrace bar every evening. The hotel seemed like the go to place for all the expats living in Zagreb as there were many high end cars parked outside. There were at least 2... More

This is a wonderful old hotel with huge comfortable rooms. The beds are a bit hard and could do with a topper. The windows in our room opened fully (unlike many hotels) so we had a wonderful fresh breeze and great view. Breakfast was attentive with a good choice (although the bacon was overcooked and far too salty) and the... More

Stayed here for 5 days in October over an extended weekend. Lovely hotel and great food with out the crazy price tag! We ate one night in the hotel which was very fine dining! Again without the crazy price tag. Rooms were big as well as bathrooms but bathroom did not have a door.. Only the toilet! Very close to... More

Great experience, the staff was more than helpful at every step of the way. The room a spotless and well appointed. The location is easy to find and about a ten minute walk to the lower section of the old city.

I loved almost everything in this hotel. we arrived in the pouring rain after a long drive and it was a relief to enter a lobby that was fabulous with very friendly professional staff. The only reason i didn't give this hotel the top ranking is because of tiny little details. Our junior suit was nice a bit grey but... More

First time in Zagreb and chose this hotel mainly due to adjacency to train station. Turns out it's a very elegant historic hotel. Rooms are large and lots of light. Hotel staff wonderful. I thought the rates very good especially considering quality of room. Did not eat in hotel restaurant but location us easy walk to main square in city... More

Seems on te edge of needing a new renovation. Staff is helpful but a little helpless and the whole things doesn't seem managed like a good five star hotel. Also the rooms aren't as clean as they should be. Some dust on the outlets and a hair in the bathtub. Overall not terrible but the luxury is mostly facade and... More
