Nice clean big rooms. Central location, cafe out front and its on main strip. With everything in walking distance. Strong wifi across hostel. Everything you need for a couple nights. But no lift so enjoy carrying your bag up the narrow stairs

Nothing especially noteworthy about the hostel itself... The staff weren't around often but I personally didn't really need them for anything. Really nice bathroom. The bar underneath the hostel is nice but there's no need to go there because you have better places in the street 30 seconds walk away. I think this is a better than average hostel but... More

Our time at the Taban bar & hostel was clean and enjoyable. We stayed in a shared four person room with its own bathroom. We didn't book ahead but they were accommodating and have a deal with a parking garage for overnight parking at a very good price - so if you are driving (like we were, this is definitely... More

The rooms are clean and nice, although the Six bed dorm can be a little bit small with luggage. The location is fantastic and they have free parking spaces at a reasonable price if you need them. There is a nice terrace and bar too. If there is a but is that the street where Taban is, is one of... More

This is a lovely hostel, even if you are sharing with 5 people the beds are nice, the people are nice and it is right in the centre. Very enjoyable stay here and I would come back and stay here again.

This is a great spot if you want to be in the middle of the upper town area. It was a decent hike from the main rail station though. I shared a 6 bed dorm on 2nd floor. The main downsides were that there is only one shower and one toilet per floor and there were people (locals working with... More

This hostel is a well-managed, clean, safe hostel that is located in the heart of Zagreb on the pedestrian road that is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. We stayed in a double bed with a private bath. It was a clean, quiet, modern room. All of the employees (the two Annas were wonderful) were extremely friendly and helpful with... More

In the center of one of the most crowded streets in Zagreb, the Taban Hostel is perfect for a young couple or a group of friends. I slept in the apartment that was cheap and huge. Coolest thing : unifying the hostel and the bar, very easy to know new people

It seems that this place puts 70% of its energy into being a bar and just 30% into being a hostel. Unfortunately, that makes for a lot of wasted potential and a bad hostel. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Showers and toilets were also clean and in good shape. There were lockers and the wireless was working.... More

Stayed here with friends in January. Great location. My daughter and I were comfortable enough, but our friends really suffered with noise from the bar, which apparently was open all night and had quite a big crowd. At least 100 people and a pretty heavy bass playing. We were on the third floor and it was okay, although the smell... More
