Hi, Very much a happy surprise. The staff was great i.e. loaned me a guide book on check-in gave me a quick overview of f Sofia (taxis tipping etc). The location is okay, just off the beaten path but a very cheap taxi ride from most anything, and the big shopping mall. Breakfast was good with eggs, meats and cheeses... more

I was attending a conference at the Kempinski Hotel and chose the Lozenetz Hotel as a cheaper alternative since it had walking distance to the conference hotel. For only being a tourist, I might have considered a more centrally located hotel. But the hotel is not decentral either, and there is a bus stop ca 200 m from the hotel.... more

Hotel Lozenetz is a good, low-cost hotel in a relatively central location. The rooms are basic but clean and feature nice bathrooms, cable television and free connection to the internet.
