We were here five nights, we suffered. The lobby is used as a warehouse, dirty rooms and certainly are not here spa or swimming pool. Online they present themselves four star but the feeling is perhaps one star. In the morning, we ate the leftovers of yesterday and beyond that, the food served cold and we turned the team, they... A nice, quiet and clean hotel nearby the city center. The staff was polite and helpful. A lot of shops nearby. A very good-safe area to stay in Sofia. You can easily go to the sightseeing of the city by foot in 10 mins max. If I go to Sofia again, I will definitely stay there.

It's not an expensive hotel, true, but it's still pretty basic. Hilariously advertised as a 4-star hotel, I'd say 2-and-a-half stars at best. The rooms are functional but in need of a refresh. The bathroom worked but was very dated and was on the brink of needing replacing. The usual rubbish TV reception and 90s big-box TVs, but these are... More

Stayed 2 nights, Not a 4 star, Asked for a safe box at reception and was told that were all full, next morning found that the passport had been stolen from room, room was locked, before and after passport was stolen. Reception were no help. Facilities were not good, nowhere near 4 star. P{lace was a nightmare on an otherwise... More

Spent a night here whilst passing through Sofia on a trip around Central Bulgaria. It was reasonably priced on booking.com at £30 for the night, including breakfast which was a full European style buffet breakfast. The location of the hotel is really useful too, only a couple of minutes walk to Vitosha, the restaurant and bar street of Sofia. The... More

I stayed here as part of a stag do so I was not expecting to stay in a top hotel. When we arrived there was no electricity on at all in the hotel which didn't give the greatest impression. The rooms were ok but we were hardly in them. There are plenty of bars and shops nearby. Would not be... More

It was exactly what I expected. Quiet, good location, friendly and not causing any problems or worries to me. I felt safe and happy to return to it after a long day of sightseeing. If you want luxus and spa book another hotel. If you want a good location and a clean and friendly hotel to visit sofia book this... More

Hotel Sveta Sofia is in walking area position, close to the city centre and Serdika metro station. Free Wi-Fi was lower quality in some rooms. My room was clean and spacious but it was not the same with other rooms for our group. Helpful staff. Poor food choice for breakfast. Appropriate for short stay. Acceptable value for money.

Location is excellent. 5 min walk from the centre and to metro station of Serdika. Walkind distance to all the historic centre of Sofia (the museums, churches etc), & the main shopping street (Vitosha Boulevard). Room was clean. The staff spoke English and was very helpful. We arrived at 6am and they checked us in immediately. Didnt have to wait... More
