This is a very large hotel in a pretty central location. It has a nice swimming pool (recently renovated) and pool bar. In the old days, the Hotel Rodina was apparently one of the smartest hotels in Communist Bulgaria and a favourite of visiting Eastern European dignitaries. It hasn't changed all that much which means it's now pretty faded and the uniform brown colour of everything can be depressing.
