I stayed here in May 2007. I was given one of the non-renovated rooms and a colleague got a renovated one. There was a big difference. My room cost 120 Euros a night for a dark, dingy dump. It was ridiculously expensive for what you got. 2-3 days later I moved to Hotel Latinka, which was only around 50 Euros... more

The Kempinski is located in what was for our purposes, a convenient location, though it is a bit out of the city center. Still, everything is within easy reach and one can easily get around by Taxi. The Kempinski Group is well known for upscale hotels and this is no exception. The lobby is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The... more

We have stayed in Kempinski hotels in Budapest and in Moscow so had high hopes. It is our understanding that Kempinski recently purchased this hotel and is in the process of remodeling & upgrading. The first impression is of an ordinary former communist style hotel and the room we were given confirmed that impression. Having stayed in former Communist hotels... more

We were there in 2006. Building is old, the breath of soviet spirit lives there. Furniture does not look/feel very good. Rooms are big. View in upper floors is OK. District the hotel located in is a private house expensive location. The interesting thing is that you can not tell what kind of district you are in because some houses... more

I stayed at the Kempinski in Sofia for 3 nights in the beginning of July. I was attending a conference and meetings at the Kempinski conference center, so also received the amazingly cheap rate of 110 Euro per night (single occupancy), B&B. Actually, when I checked on the internet a week before travelling, I found special "Spring" (July???!!!) rates of... more

Kempinski Hotel Zografski, Sofia, Bulgaria Like many others I had heard how visitors to a Kempinski hotel in Germany spoke of the incredibly high-class and comfortable premises. My expectations of the Kempinskiy Zografski hotel in Sofia were accordingly high, and the disappointment was bitter. The hotel has an upstairs and a downstairs. The latter is up to its reputation: a... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in a Deluxe room (not sure how that differed from a standard room, as it looked like a typical double bed hotel room with ensuite). The good points: - Aircon was great - Curtains also had blackout curtains behind them so no waking at 5am from sunshine - Ironing which we gave late afternoon... more

Last week I stayed there for 5 days during the week. My room was on the last floor and the view over the city was great! My travel agent recommended me to take renovated room, because the others were not so good. Mine was bright and clean, TV and Internet were also very good, service was fast and attentive. I... more

We stayed here as part of a tour with Insight and our travel agent had said how lucky we were to be staying in a Kempinski Hotel!!! What a joke!!! This was the worst hotel on our 2 week tour. We also got the unrenovated rooms, and they were disgusting. The bed sheets in all the rooms for our tour... more
