Spent four nights here at our home-away from home in Sarajevo. Received a warm welcome and checked into a comfortable double on the third floor. Not the largest room, but was well-lit and had a very comfortable bed. Very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious! Served in the basement. Eggs to order. Bosnian coffee was a great way to... More

Spent 5 nights here in a very comfortable, spacious room with attractive, modern bath. The staff is very helpful and friendly and speak some English. Breakfast is a real treat with a nice buffet of breads, cheeses, vegetables, fruit and endless coffee. In addition the cook whips up a delicious cheese omelet upon request. The location is great, just 2... More

A very nice, centrally-located B&B about 5 minutes away from the Old Town attractions. Rooms are functional. The rooms on the upper floors are better laid out and have more light. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and speak excellent English.

The hostess and other staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice room with windows facing the small courtyard with lots of roses. (Other rooms only have small windows with a limited view towards the sky). There was no desk or table in the room, But you can do your writing in the breakfast room which is open... More

This is a very nice family owned b&b about 5 minutes from Bascarsjia (old town) of Sarajevo. I paid 40 euro for a room with breakfast as a single traveler. The place is quiet (it's a curse finding quite accommodation any where in the Balkans), although I do recommend any of the second story rooms to avoid potential noise from... More

Quite ottoman oriented style passion, very simple decoration but wonderful atmosphere, kava will be offered at breakfast and the service is great, the boys at the reception are always ready to answer questions and they always offer their help. It is a bit hidden to find if you' re driving and you will have to pay a parking nearby cause... More

Kandilj Pension is a discovery, hidden among the houses, just few steps from the famous Bascarsija. In fact it is a larger family house changed into a small pension with rooms in two different parts of the building and breakfast room/resturant in the cellar. The design is traditional Bosnian, modest and beautiful at the same time. Rooms are clean, warm... More

I can not say enough about this wonderful pension. I was travelling with my 5 year old daughter, and we stayed at Kandilj Pension for one night before travelling up to Banja Luka, and then for two nights when we came back. The Pension picked us up from the airport, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable - they... More

What a beautiful little guesthouse! I can't say enough good things about Kandilj. It's located just a five minute walk from Bascarsija (Old Town) and a good fifteen from the new town, with really easy access to both (via the Latin Bridge!). It's slight removal from the hubbub of the Old Town make it a pleasant escape from the crowds... More

We were a family group of 5 adults who arrived at the airport at 9pm. Guesthouse Kandilj had arranged a free transfer for us to the accommodation. Staff were always friendly and helpful. They provided us with up to date train information and organised our early morning taxi to the station. The breakfast was cooked to order, delicious and in a... More
