Very fine hotel with no problem in any fundamental things. My hotel room consist from large living room, large bedroom and bathroom with shower and toilet. The room height is nice, above standard, aprox. 3 m. The wardrobes for clothes are large enough. Refrigerator offers the minibar beverages. The TV is in the room. The wifi is for free, with... More

In the september of this year, we( my wife and I ), travelled to Sarajevo, the capital of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We started from Belgrade,Serbia, gone for the weekend and to see some friends and relatives of my wife in Sarajevo. We crossed the border between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the passage called Mali Zvornik,... More

We hadn't booked the Hotel Astra Garni, in fact I can't even recall considering it when forming my shortlist several months ago, but it turned out to be a comfortable and pleasant place to stay, right in the heart of Sarajevo's Old Town. We arrived having been moved from the Hotel Old Town (a different story for a different hotel... More

This hotel is right on the edges of the old town, very close to hotel Europe. It shares a parking lot with Art and Europe hotels - good to know if you come by car. As the old town is quiet noisy, you should ask for a corner room or a room that doesn't face the street and preferably on... More

The location cannot be bettered, just round the corner from where the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot. It is also on the doorstep of the Old Town. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. They were extremely hospitable and made us feel right at home after a long journey. Our room was very spacious and pleasant, with plenty of character,... More

The hotel location is excellent. Just a few steps away from the Bascarsija district and the spot where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. Easy to get to by taxi or tram from bus or train station. The staff were very pleasant, particularly the older two of the four I encountered. The two younger girls, though nice, just sort of hung... Our stay in Sarajevo took place just as the city was beginning to flood and it was very cold for mid May---even so this hotel was comfortable. Our room was a good size with windows and a good sized bathroom. The location was great--though it rained so much we did not explore as much as we usually do. We were... More

Very central for the old town but also very quiet. Just round the corner from Latin Bridge. Large room & bathroom - very comfortable. Staff helpful & friendly. Good wifi in room. Breakfast simple but adequate. Breakfast room quite small so if there are a lot of groups staying it can get very busy/tight.

My teenage son and I stayed in this hotel last October during the World Cup qualifying rounds. What an exciting evening we had when BH's team won! People flocked into the streets to celebrate and there was such a glow in the city of Sarajevo. Back to the hotel: the front desk staff are absolutely lovely to deal with and... More

The location is fantastic--right at the old market. My first floor room was enormous, the bathroom seemed newly remodeled, the breakfasts were good, and the staff were friendly. There was some street noise, and the hotel is sort of quirky overall. But I found it comfortable and a good base for my 3 nights in Sarajevo. Also, internet is free.
