We were staying at hotel Saraj for the New Year because it was the only choice in the package offer. Not so unbearably bad, but far from ideal choice. Except for the lowest price. Interior - worn and old, no luxury. Rooms - spacious and clean, but with a haunting smell of cigarette smoke. In Bosnia and Herzegovina is still... More

I didn't enjoy my staying there at all. They write me to put me in a room with rear view and I found myself in a blind room, smoke-smelling :-( and without wi-fi. They have wi-fi in the hall but when there are more than some people trying to connect it doesn't work. I don't advice to go there, awful... More

Hotel Saraj is about 800 meters from Bascarcija. The view over Sarajevo is wonderful! Rooms are basic but ok. To get a shower we had to climb a very high bath tub, if you legs are not for that you may ask for another room. Breakfast is moderately good. The personnel is very kind and helpful.

If you pay the standard rate of 85 euro per night for a room, this hotel is really disappointing. If you get a bargain of 60, than it is acceptable as you have a nice view over Sarajevo and the reception staff is very friendly. Issues are: -Bathroom is smelly -Shower has no curtains -Worn out floors, old furniture -... More

this is a decent hotel, emerging from the rock actually (this means that you can get a view on the rock or the wall). some of the rooms are renovated some of them are still very socialist style, with furniture as old as the mentioned socials period. breakfast is ok, with some local specialist, but in range of the budget... For a country that has been ravaged by war, I feel it unfair the comment made that this is one of the shabbiest hotels ever visited and that person should have mentioned that at 20 Euro per night its actually pretty good value! We are used to 5 star hotels and are staying at this hotel as part of a... More

hotels is average in every way. Location is a bit strange, it is located on the top of the hill facing cemetery on another hill. Also very busy road is passing under the hill. You will need approximately 10 minutes to the city center but twice as London if you are coming from the city. Rooms are basic breakfast too.... More

If you are for short visit of Saraevo, I would recommend it. For the price that you will pay, expect same value. Clean and old rooms without air-condition, simple and average breakfast, lovely and smiley personel, own parking. 5-10 walking minutes from center. Placed in quiet area.

This is one of the shabbiest hotels I have ever visited. It is a concoction of furniture, beddings, bathroom amenities and carpets stripped from abandoned old hotels around Sarajevo. It is a new hotel but everything inside is from 70-ies. Somebody probably fooled himself it would be a nice designer trick, but he/she was terribly wrong. The furniture is shabby,... More

We stayed at this hotel. It is located at the center of Sarajevo. The room was a single room - too narrow with one bed and a bathroom only. No TV and air conditioner. The room was a little dusty, but clean. The food at the morning was FANTASTIC - you have to try it. I live near Bosnia and... More
