This hostel has one huge drawback: there is a smoking area immediately attached to the common room, and smoke inevitably seeps in and it is basically as though someone is in the room smoking; most of the staff smoke too. Another smaller issue is that you must remove shoes to enter. This is strange and annoying to me, especially when... More

Sarajevos a small city anyways so walking around isn't a big deal, staff was helpful in figuring out laundry and some bar choices on a Thursday night. Didn't supply locks on lockers and 1 bathroom for potentially 10 people wasn't ideal. Bed was ok, no water after midnight either, but that's a sarajevo thing.

Spent a few nights here with a friend this past summer. Great location. Friendly staff. They helped us organize tours around the city, and were very knowledgeable about other events and exhibits going on. Great common area, balcony for smokers, lots of books and DVDs. Only issue is that there is no water between 12am and 5am but this affects... More

We arrived from the train station and took the tram to this hostel. We arrived before noon, but were still able to check in and leave our bags there, until our rooms were ready. The front desk staff were really nice and friendly. There are quite a few flights of steep stairs to get into this hostel, but it was... More

We booked their apartment on the other building. The room was not very clean. Hot water was another problem. We had to wait 1.5 hrs (each of us) to have enough hot water for shower. I would not recommend the apartment. May be, their shared rooms are even better.

Despite the 4 flight of stairs, this hostel is small and cosy, you feel as if you are staying in a local's home, especially as the staff are locals, rather then other backpackers, and therefore you are getting the chance to chat to young Bosnian people. Azza was beyond helpful in going beyond helping me arrange my tour into the... More

Stayed here for two nights. The hostel is located just outside the cobbled streets of the Old Town & in the bar/cafe area if Sarajevo. The climb up to the hostel (on the top floor , no lift ) was worth it for the warm welcome & wonderful facilities. The rooms were lovely ( only thing lacking was a light... More

The main hostel is located on the top floor of the building. There is no elevator, this might be an inconvenience for some. We stayed in one studio few streets away from the hostel so I cannot comment on the common facilities. The size of the studio was adequate for the price, but the bathroom was moldy and is in... More

Perfect hostel right in center of Sarajevo. There is very nice common room connected with reception, so you can enjoy cup of tee or play FIFA there. Great staff! Nothing to complaint about HCC Sarajevo and I definitly have place where to sleep during next Sarajevo trip.

It's Bosnian custom to remove your shoes upon entering a house. The dining room and eating bars have the same cool furniture as the one and only McCafe in town. Plus it's top 40 non-explicit American music but there's no cappuccino machine here. For something stronger, there is a Cheer's Pub three levels down at the corner with the London... More
