This is perhaps the most delightful place that it has been my pleasure to stay in. The property is well situated, wonderfully run, clean, charming, delightfully furnished and wil a fine restaurant. It is hard to put a finger on what this resort has that thousands of others do not, and after a while I gave up pondering. Suffice it... More

Mucumbli was the best ecolodge I visited so far and the most expensive as well. I'm budget traveler spending usually around $10/night and I've never paid out of my pocket such amount of money (EUR 50) for accomodation. But it was worth every penny I spent there. On the average I spent EUR 30 for accomodation per night on Sao... More

We were so lucky to have found this place, it was exactly what we were looking for. Secluded room (cabin) with an amazing view over the ocean and an tree in front that hosted many of the endemic birds of the island, as well as other rare species. Dolphins viewed in the ocean. The food was great and fairly priced.... More

The setting of this resort is wonderful, views on the ocean from the restaurant and the huts. The interior design of the huts is exceptional tasteful. The only drawback is the slow service in the restaurant. Yes, everything is freshly cooked, but why does one has to wait more than 90 minutes for a soup and a salad? Even when... More

This was the definite highlight of our honeymoon in Sao Tome & Principe. Absolutely beautiful, secluded - just stunning. The private black sand beach is a short walk and beautiful. The bungalows are very nice with a great view. The food was wonderful - order the calulu a day or two in advance - it's well worth it. The santola... More

We spent 4 nights at Mucumbli ecolodge in the low season and found the place beautiful. The chalets are built with great views of the ocean, decorated with taste, and are very clean and private. A 5-10mn walk down a path leads to a private beach of black sand where we swam on our own in the evenings. The restaurant... More

Mucumbli was our first lodge to stay on the island. Mariangela and Tiziano really put much effort in this eco lodge and they are in the process of building more bungalows. We stayed in 'Pitanga' bungalow and was comfortable, clean and nicely designed. Amazing view from the veranda. Just loved sitting there and enjoying the sunset. At the lodge premises... More

I have stayed at Mucumbli 3 times already and I absolutely love it. The confortable rooms, the wonderful food, the beautiful landscape, the eco and vegetable garden... but first and foremost the infinite kindness and gentleness of the staff (soon to become your friends) and the owners. Such a wonderful place! Wishing you all the best in this project, and... More
