We are well travelled and usually stay in good hotels., we are hotel managers and expect a high quality in our accomodation. Knew tahiti was going to be expensive ,so decided to stay some where a little cheaper and use our money for experiences this time. We stayed at Taaroa lodge for 6 nights and reluctantly had to leave to... more

I recommend Taaroa Lodge to everyone dreaming to come to Tahiti. The place has such a good vibe, it is very convienently located and most of all, the owners are absolutely lovely. They are very helpful during your stay. They will recommend activities, places to go and help you to plan your trip if you would like to visit other... more

I'll try and be objective here, as we were well unimpressed with Joker Ralph .. the surf boy who never grew up. Don't get me wrong .. he's friendly enough, but unmotivated and unhelpful. He charged us £20 to pick us up from the airport - despite that he'd also charged the other couple he was picking up £20 too,... more

We had three two-night stays at Taaroa Lodge before, between, and after cruises. One stay was in the room with the private bath (basically just a bed and a couple of shelves), and two stays were in one of the two bungalows (double bed, single bed, small refrigerator, small tv, floor fan, microwave, plates, cups, utensils, great shower in the... more

My husband and I stayed at Taaroa Lodge for two nights before embarking on a cruise. We stayed in one of the bungalows and could not have been more happy with the place, especially given the rate. The bungalow had a bed, a sofa, a microwave, a small fridge, a coffee maker, and a small bathroom. We spent quite a... more

I stayed here on Tahiti and I thought it was great, the bed in the dorm was comfortable and kitchen facilities were provided and directions were provided to the local facilities and the bus service. The showers also worked well. They also were big fans of watersports and gave you free snorkelling gear and sea kyaks. Overall the accommodation was... more

We stayed here in February for a week and what an amazing place to stay. I am not a tourist but a World traveller and I know a Gem when I see one. Ralph has a great place here. We stayed in one of the Casitas which was so clean and comfortable. If I was travelling alone this is where... more

The place is amazing, the beach upfront is simply one of the most beautiful things I ever seen and Ralph and Diane (the owners) make you feel home, while I was there, we had BBQs, we learned about Tahiti and Ralph took us to a dive in Moorea that was the best ever. more
