The Sofitel Maeva Beach is a good hotel for staying at before/after and international flight. I think I stayed here many, many years ago in the '80's, could be mistaken, but it sure looked familiar. The rooms are nice, but not lavish, very close to the airport, and have an excellent view at sunset. The pool area is very scenic... more

We stayed here at the Hotel Maeva Beach Resort for just 1 day. We checked in at about 9:30 am and out at about 7:30pm. We had arrived on a cruise ship that morning and our flight wasn't leaving until 10:30 that night and we wanted a place to just hang out and relax for the day. This was the... more

We booked this room for the first night of our honeymoon vacation. We asked our travel agent to select us a room that was 'nothing special' as we were slated to arrive at 10 PM from Los Angeles. After Air Tahiti Nui delayed us 6 hours, we arrived at the hotel by 4 AM. People who had booked rooms at... more

We stayed here on our first night of our honeymoon before leaving in the morning for Bora Bora. When we arrived at the hotel they had no record of our reservation. They proposed to us that we could pay again and they would reimburse us if they found our reservation that we booked on expedia. I got upset and told... more

This is a nice enough hotel for a short stay. We stayed 4 nights before going on to the Sofitel on Moorea - the 2 cannot be compared as they are vastly different in price and quality. 4 days was too long here - 2 days would have been ideal. The rooms are nice enough - pay the small amount... more

We have booked our first night in Tahiti at the Sofitel mainly because we were arriving late from Los Angeles (11:00pm) and the hotel was very close to the Papeete airport. When we arrived, the receptionists did not even say hello to us, we had the impression of bothering them. After the check-in, we took the elevator to get to... more

My friends and I traveled to Tahiti this last March and after a 7 hrs flight we were very happy finally to be in our room. The hotel overall is a little bit old and could use some rennovation, but the room was amazing, showers were clean and very modern, the room was small, but very clean and with bright... more

From the outside the hotel is really old and ugly. When we first entered the place we were positively surprised because we could see that the interior has been redecorated recently. The room was also ok. It was not big but the furtiture was modern and ok. What we found very strange was the bathroom door which was no real... more

We arrived very early (7 am) and we were checked in immediately which was wonderful as we were expecting to wait until the afternoon great room with a view of Moorea - worth the extra - and lovely pool and beach fantastic breakfast at a price you would expect in Tahiti (and London!) thoroughly recomend for a pre or post... more
