We stayed the last night of our vacation at Royal Tahitian and loved everything about this hotel. We thought the service was exceptional! Yasmina (the front desk manager) was a joy to deal with! We arrived in the morning (around 9:30 am) and she allowed us to check in early. When we entered into our room it was like walking... more

Arrived late at night after searching for two hours....no one in town could direct us even the local police. while asking a gas attendant for the location we heard a dog being slaughtered...as per attendant and local man's comments. horrifying. NOT a good first impression. Checked in, carried our own bags upstairs, opened the door and dropped our jaws. Room... more

Probably the best kept secret on Tahiti, best value for the money. An excellent out-of-the-way,location, but only 3 miles from downtown very busy Papeete, easily accessible with the affordable public transit system. Excellent service, nice large rooms, all with garden view. Beautifully landscaped grounds, great for sun tanning and walks. Outstanding restaurant, another great value for the budget minded traveler.... more

We spent 11 nights at this hotel: half that time would have been ample. It is expensive by UK prices, but probably not by Tahitien standards. When we arrived (at night) no help was offered with our luggage - the burly security guard concentrated on holding the torch - but luckily we were on the ground floor. The rooms are... more

By normal standards this would be an average to poor hotel, but in Tahiti it is something of a bargain. First the good; Price 2nights including tax £167,meals extra seem expensive but given that 70% of the diners were local must be good value Gardens/Situation,beautiful views accross the sea and lovely well cared for grounds.Nice pool . Staff,Yasmina is a gem... more

We loved it here and hated to leave. If you are looking for the Ritz treatment and pampering, go elsewhere, but if you are looking to have a real encounter with local Tahitians, this is the spot. Rooms are not fancy, but are clean and everything works. Well located on a black beach (where outrigger races are held offshore at... more

We arrived at the Royal Tahitian late in the evening but the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. A porter took our bags to the room. The setting is attractive and we enjoyed our stay. We were relieved, having read some negative reviews of the place. But we were surprised by the amount of traffic on the road at 6.30am.... more

This is a great place if you are on a budget and still want everything you imagined you wanted in Tahiti: a pool, beachfront, good food, a bar with live entertainment, and clean accommodations. You will be satisfied with what you get, considering the prices of other options in Tahiti. To top it off, the staff at this hotel are... more
