We got here on that 6 a.m. flight and so had to wait a long time for a room. I can start with the Staff is cheerful, the Manager not so much. They smile at you and are concerned but can do nothing. My big item was I would have really like Wifi, however this was not available to me... More

We recently returned from a 14 day trip/cruise to French Polynesia. We started our trip at the Hotel Tahiti Nui in Papeete, Tahiti. It looked good in the pictures on tripadvisor and it was rated 4 stars in 2013. (the hotel proudly displayed that fact on a sign at their front desk) The nightly rate for this hotel was not... More

We arrived just after midnight, after leaving taxi you needed a torch to see inside the hotel, obviously saving cost of power, tge toilets were even darker, and finally getting to the lift which failed to accept card time an time agaiin then finally getting to 4th floor and again searching in dark for room only to find lock was... We just returned from French Polynesia and spend a few nights at Hotel Tahiti Nui. The room was way above expectation with two full rooms and a very nice bathroom. It was sparkling clean, the air conditioner worked efficiently and the service was very friendly. There is free WiFi, but in the lobby only. If our travels ever get us... More

We stayed in executive suite on sixth floor. There were 4 of us finishing a tour of bora bora and moorea. It is a 2 level suite, air conditioning doesn't work well in top floor bedrooms. Ice machine doesn't work on sixth floor and you need an engineering degree to figure the machine out. Balcony is cool if you smoke,... More

Good location if you’re in Tahiti for one or two nights and wanting to stay in town. The ferry building, markets, roulettes, and shops are all within a few minutes’ walk. The room was clean and spacious, but the bed was very soft, and the bathroom was super dark. Actually the hotel in general was dark, not sure if this... More

We started our honeymoon at this hotel. We had the junior suite. The maintanance is poor. For example missing drawers in the chest of the drawers. Several lightbulbs not working etc. The second night something was wrong with the sink in the bathroom. It would only deliver boiling hot water, which made it impossible to wash hands, brush teeth etc.... More

We stayed here for a night on our way back from Moorea and found the experience rather uninspiring. The hotel staff were friendly and were happy to confirm with the shuttle company our airport transfer the next day; however, the room itself was average and there was a lot of road noise considering we were not looking directly out over... Only English channel on tv is CNN. Only WiFi is in the lobby. Not particularly close to anything. One restaurant which is very expensive. Simple breakfast buffet is almost $40.00. The alternative is to go to the Gas Station next door. NO water views. Rooms really need refreshing. Cracked floor tile. Torn bed linens. Significant wall scrapes. Frayed shears on... More

The hotel is expensive in absolute terms, but Tahiti is expensive. Prices here are competitive with other hotels in Papeete. But the add-ons are way too expensive by any stretch. The breakfast buffet was $40 and consisted of barely cooked bacon, tomatoes, hash browns, and this being a French territory, 6 kinds of bread. That and those little fun-size boxes... More
