We stayed here overnight both on our arrival and departure from Papeete - with the main holiday being in Moorea. We were here with our little kids. The 1 bedroom junior suite was great (don't expect to cook though. I found it odd that they have a full kitchen but no pots and pans). The decor was good but dark... More

We stayed for a night, and it was fine. A couple of callouts: - The best place to get food is near the waterfront at the food trucks. We had food from a couple and they were delicious. Just take a left when leaving the hotel block toward the water and take another left at the water. They open at... More

We stayed at Hotel Tahiti Nui in downtown Papeete twice in late September and early October 2014 while on a round the world tour. The hotel was chosen because we had stayed there two years earlier while on another round the world trip. The hotel is conveniently located in Papeete, with very good access to everything in downtown Papeete, in... More

This is without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever had! 1. No elevators for three days - flooded. 2. No clearly marked egress or stairway to hotel lobby. 3. Surly, uncaring, rude staff. 4. Erratic, non-seven day, laundry service. 5. Selection on breakfast buffet is pathetic.

Ia orana, Thank you for your comments shared on Trip Advisor. As far as I remember, at no time our elevators have been out of order for 3 days. Due to heavy rains and for technical reasons, the guests elevators have been stopped between the saturday 2 pm and the sunday morning 10 am. During this time, one extra staff... More

My Husband and I had 2 reservations. One on the night before our cruise and one the night our cruise ended. I had really been sick on the flight to Tahiti due to something I had eaten that didn't agree with me and spent half the flight in the rest room. We arrived in Papeete at 5:00 am and all... More

Good location-within walking distance of Papeete shopping, Market Place and pubs. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite room with good air conditioning in the rooms. Spacious 'junior suite,' kitchenette, table and chairs and sitting area, with balcony. No view. Hotel needs some maintenance. Shower didn't have door or curtain, so lots of water ran out onto floor; rust stains on floor... More

My husband and I were booked in to stay here but due to a plane cancellation we could not make it. We asked if we could stay the next night but the manager would not consider it at all. He charged us for the night and was rude and not compassionate about our plight . Will never ever book a... More

Hotel Tahiti Nui might have been trendy and a quality house when it was built. It is well located in downtown Papeete near lots of shopping and about 10 minutes walk from the pier. It is not a bad place to stay with enough quality and as reasonable a price as anything in very expensive Tahiti. That said however time... More

We were stopping Tahiti for three nights and chose this Hotel as the best option for us and our budget. It isn't cheap, but nothing is around here. We arrived late at night via taxi. The Hotel staff changed some US$ so we could pay the taxi driver. It was around 30CFP (or whatever the term is for the local... More
