Raintree Lodge, perched above a spring-fed quarry pond surrounded by diverse forests and staffed by beautiful, smiling locals, gives you a chance to breathe deeply in quiet, clean air, while enjoying hot showers, good food and friendly hosts. There’s a gym I didn’t use, near the pretty little pool I also ignored, because I was there for the forests and... More

We spent here 1 night during our honeymoon trip just because of its position next to Colo-I-Suva National Park The entrance of the park is 5 minute walk from the lodge We stayed in a basic standard room with shared bathroom. we had view to one of the small inland lakes The rooms were just ok, basic, quite small but... this place is unique, nothing special about rooms that re easy but clean. the real attraction of this place is the location. you are in the middle of the forset, you could see a lot of animals, and if you like to stay in touch with nature this is the best place! Alse the cuisine was very good. Prices are... More

the facility is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. the location is very convenient for Colo-i-Suva park and the grounds are quiet and relaxing. Even the inexpensive rooms in the dorms are very nice. Great value! More

I moved to the Raintree Lodge after spending 2 nights in a quiet, basic but perfect 'hotel' (South Seas Private Hotel - very cheap, and more of a hostel than hotel) in the centre of Suva. Although my accomodation in Suva was great, the Raintree Lodge website looked like something different and I was looking forward to staying somewhere with... More

Were stayed here during the quiet time. We were booked in for a dorm room but got a small double room instead at the same price. The small double room had a rather bad damp smell about it. I would have preferred the dorm room. There were no cooking facilities as stated in the lonely planet guide. We found the... More

I was up-graded to a wonderful airy room overlooking a fish filled pond densely rimmed with lily pads and pink blossoms. Bird life abound in the jungle setting surrounding the pond. The housekeeping staff went out of their way to make sure I had all that I requested and some things that I did not. The kitchen staff and restaurant... More

This place could be fantastic... the setting is first rate, it's easy to get to, the people are friendly, the food pleasing, they have internet (of a sort!)... there was plenty to like about this place So why was I disappointed? Perhaps the fact that we clearly advised that there would be four of us only to arrive and have... More

Off the beaten track. Tom the guy who owns it is a laugh, made us feel very welcome. F$10 will get you a taxi into Suva. Big roomy bungalow style accomadation surrounded by lush gardens. Four poster bed and lounge chairs felt very homey. Its not chic and elegent but neither is Tom ! Its a bit quirkey so we... More
