Our family loved this place! Our cosy little rainforest house was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, had a deck (!) and perfect for our family of 4. We used their kayaks twice, loved the lake and listening to the birdsong - fave was the fiji Barking Pigeon. We took the Suva bus straight into downtown, hopping on from across The street... More

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. We love it when our guests enjoy the birdsong (and watching Mr and Mrs Kingfisher on ‘their’ tree overhanging the lake) and it is fun feeding the fish. Our venue is quite different to most others in the area and it is very satisfying for us when guests appreciate the nature... More

If you want to stay in a rainforest, don't go there. It's right next to the road and there is nothing rainforesty there. We stayed in a private room with shared toilet and shower. Room was cheap, but we've had so much better with the same money. There were ants in the bed, but otherwise the room was average. It... More

Thank you for your comments, we value your feedback. One of the advantages of being so close to nature in the Rainforest is that nature loves to visit - our birds are a testimony to that, we are sorry there were ants in your bed – had we been made aware of this we would have dealt with it. Unfortunately... More

I came here with a group and was lucky enough to score a bure. It was beautiful. Very comfortable and spacious. Yes there is a bit of mould and a gazillion mosquitoes, but you're in a rainforest! I was also impressed by the studio room my friend was in. The 4 bed dorm I saw was tiny and my other... More

As soon as we arrvived the new owners and the staff with a smile made you feel welcome. This is place to sit back and enjoy the biirds and the views from your accomadation and the availability of hikes to waterfalls right near by. The swimming pool and the restaurant are lovely. We will definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our stay - its a very beautiful peaceful place to be with lovely sunset views across the lily covered lake. Good facilities, lovely pool and restaurant area - and free wi-fi. The new owners really made us welcome, I would happily go back in the future.

In a few days staying at this resort - we saw all the endemics we could have possibly have seen in the surrounding areas - plus specific trips where we successfully saw Pink-billed Parrotfinches and Long-legged Warblers (Monasavu Dam). The surrounding forest support gems such as Golden Doves, Black-faced Shrikebills and Masked Shining Parrots - to name a few! The... More

Enjoyed lunch here. I had the "Taste of Fiji" which was a little bit of this and that. I really enjoyed it! I was with my 15 year old son and a friend, who lives in Fiji. We caught the bus from Nasori, which was easy. After lunch we caught the bus on to Suva. We were shown two of... More

We booked 2 nights at Colo I Suva because they advertise "free wi-fi". Apparently you only get half an hour free, then you pay $4.50 per hour or $30 per 24 hours. The place is very tired, rooms are dark and small, walls paper thin and towels and sheets smell stale. The management and staff were not at all helpful... More

Under new management, this resort has seen some notable improvements with more planned. The new owners are extremely pleasant people and keen to lift the profile of this resort. Wifi is now available and the mosquitoes have been dealt to in a big way! The bird life at this resort is absolutely fabulous and a well-kept secret. We stayed 2... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. In our short 8 weeks we have taken over ownership and management of the resort, we been able to make some significant changes and there is more to come. In the past week or so, we have had day visitors- birdwatchers comment that they saw more birds while sitting on... More
