In 2012 when i was 16 i traveled on my own to Fiji to teach English in a local school. I stayed in Colonial Lodge just outside of the city centre and i wouldn't go anywhere else. As it wasn't a big chain hotel i experience a more realistic view of Fiji. The Lodge is run by Susie and her... More

Tastefully decorated and a well managed bed and breakfast. Definitely worth considering for a stay in Suva. I have been taking my family and recommending this venue to friends for years and we've never been disappointed. The owner and staff are always wonderful and friendly.

Close to Downtown Suva for walking around and going to market. Quiet location. Funky old house with tired furnishings. Family run, casual owner. Needs to get rid of cats. Satisfactory breakfast. Wifi did not work all the time but I had vodaphone flashnet pre-paid. We stayed upstairs so don't know what downstairs rooms were like. Door is locked after about... More

Close to town, food was good, nice family feel to the place, but, the room (we had, anyway) was awful! Fly wire netting on one side only - not much good if the other side is open to all the mozzies, experienced our first bedbugs! The fan blades turned, but seemingly to no affect (not sure how that could be),... More

The Wifi internet is not free, it is limited, you can use the Wifi just for checking your emails and not use for videos or music. The owner of the accomodation also doesn´t give any key for the main door and it is in genereal locked at 10 pm. That means you have always less freedom in your plans, especially... More

The Colonial Lodge is a great place to stay in Suva for the budget traveler. It is located right in town within walking distance to everything yet it is at the end of a cul de sac making it a very quiet place to stay. The old colonial style house is funky in a good way. I loved it. Suzie... More

We arrived late into Suva after our flight was delayed but nevertheless we were warmly greeted by the lovely Josh who showed us to our upgraded room (at no extra cost). The family were very kind and generous, inviting us to Josh's birthday party in Suva's National Park which was a lot of fun and a great way to spend... More

We arrived in mid afternoon to some confusion about our room. Thankfully it was sorted later and we ended up with a cheaper option. (But still everything we needed) Room was shabby chic but clean. The bed had a mosquito net and there was a decent wall-mounted fan. Weekend breakfast is great - everyone staying eats at 9.15 - great... More

I usually do low budget traveling and I think I got great value for the money. Clean room, comfortable bed and toast, eggs and beans for breakfast. I arrived on Christmas day and the owner invited me for a free lovo dinner and a beer. I immediately felt welcome and I got to meet some interesting people at the christmas... More

My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay at Colonial Lodge. We were made to feel welcome and part of the family. Accommodation is modest yet homely, comfortable and clean. Breakfast each morning was varied and delicious. As a regular visitor to Suva I know you won't find comparable accommodation for the price and definitely not one that equals... More

Thank you Sally for your positive comments. It was a pleasure to have you and Jacquie as part of our family for the six nights you stayed in Suva. Guests like yourselves make it so easy to look after people from all over the world. Good luck with your law degree and we hope to see you again in Fiji... More
