We have just returned from a week's holiday. We were very impressed with all the staff at Rydges; they were so attentive and friendly making our holiday such an enjoyable one. The food was lovely; my husband and I enjoyed the evening meals from the all-day menu while the children watched a supervised movie in the evening. As a vegetarian/vegan... more

Good location on the coral coast with lots of activities to keep every member of the family busy. Staff very friendly. The breakfast chef Faiyez and Jyoti at the reception were outstanding. One of the dinner chefs went out of his way to make and serve us the truffle dessert when they had run out it at the Fijian dinner... more

Recent returnees to the resort(31st visit) we are planning our 32nd(Nov next). Should this not be enough testimony we have also stayed at 13 other Fiji destinations but always return "home" to Hideaway. The ambience of the place is matchless. Having changed hands within past 12 months the new Management have continued to provide the idyllic setting of the resort.... more

You have to admit 31 stays with number 32 coming up in November is very impressive. Not all guests return to the same resort as they wish to explore other resorts and destinations. These guests have travelled extensively in Fiji and visited many other resorts. They have found their niche. Fiji is a destination where many people continually return and...

Overall an enjoyable stay - just be prepared for being firmly in the 4 star category. some quick tips: 1. beware hotels taxi driver (named shorty) - even though he is up for negotiation, really ripped us off which made the whole experience distasteful. 2. eat at the bar - cheaper, tastier, quicker! 3. very pebbly beach - much nicer... more

We have just returned from our holiday in Fiji and we really enjoyed our time at Hideaway. The location is excellent, with spectacular sunsets and good snorkelling right on your doorstep. One thing that really makes this place stand out is the staff. The staff were kind and caring, and very friendly. We enjoyed meeting the staff and other guests... more

Thank you for your review. We are very pleased you had a great holiday and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. You will be pleased to hear the new Owners of Rydges Hideaway Resort approved a capital injection of $5m last week and this will see an upgrading of all Bures and a redevelopment of the swimming...

Just returned from a very wet holiday in Fiji. We stayed at the Hideaway and overall were happy with the stay. The good: - For the most part, staff are very friendly and interested. Mila says "Bula" to Faiyez :) - Villas/Bure's are great value, and while a little aged in some respects they are easily 4 star quality. -... more

Thank you Hideaway. We just got home from a weeks stay at Rydges Hideaway Resort. What a lovely place to visit. We had a great stay and feel like we could have done with another week there. Staff are fantastic with little children (5years old and almost 2). Some points to note: * Decor is slightly old, but very comfortable.... more

Absolutely the best family holiday we have ever had! Our 14 and 11 year old sons cannot wait to return, nor can we. What makes this the perfect holiday destination; apart from its ideal location, wonderful facilities, exceptional value for money, are the dedicated and long serving staff. They form an instant connection with your family and by the time... more

Our family of four visited the Hideaway in April for 5 nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive - especially Faiyez, the breakfast chef. The food was yummy and our children loved the kids club and the waterslide. True, the decor is a little outdated (apparently renovations are planned), and the beach is not fine white sand, but the... more

Bula Mum the Organizer Thank you for posting you comments on Trip Advisor. Your comments are very acurate and a true reflection of Hideaway Resort. Faiyez is not only a great cook but also has a fabulous personnality especially with children. All Fijians are great with children and consequently the success of the Kids Club. It sounds like you organized...
