I stayed in one of the A frame cottages. .. Two rooms upstairs; one downstairs. My upstairs room had a fan thankfully! Going up and down narrow spiral stairs was a challenge especially on bathroom trips at night. Roosters started crowing at 5am. Laundry not available due to water shortage. Impossible to dry clothes and towels. I had booked for... More

Staying at Tiare Village from 1 December to 11 December I have found the accommodation to be exceptional. The manager was excellent and very friendly in assisting my netball team and supporters with great accommodation and advice on the area and facilities. Our team had the pool units and the mainhouse. All the rooms were very spacious and had a... More

We moved here from a backpacker place and got a great room for the same price we were paying in the hostel! It is close to the airport, but it's Rarotonga – which means there are barely any planes. Adrienne looks after her guests well and there's a little pool to cool down in and splash around. The kitchen and... More

Fit the bill as a budget option (by Cook Islands standards) close to the airport. The single room in the A-frame house was very small and resembled a prison cell. If the weather is nice this doesn't really matter since you can get out and explore, but a bit of a bummer when you are stuck inside because of the... More

My first visit to the Cook Islands so I booked a few nights at Tiare Village just because it was close to the airport. It was great being picked up by Adrienne, yes its a very short distance but I arrived after dark so it was well worth the $10 to see a smiling face and be shown to my... More

Kia orana - Great staff - cheers Adrienne you were so helpful. Its close to Airport and town both were walkable. My first night was in single room but shower needed fixing SO they moved me to a better room by pool (wow). The place is great for back packers and the units by the pool are more than adequate for... Kia Orana! I stayed here in the private self contained room for 8nights and it was all that I needed - secured and clean room, basic kitchen, two cosy beds, hot water (in the tropics!!) :), lush natural tropical environment just outside my doorstep :), close to airport, the athletics track and the town. The owner (lady in the office)... More

We, like so many others, looked for a place for a night between our flight from Auckland and to Aitutaki. Now Tiare Village has great rates, the catch is that they have a 2-night minimum stay. We emailed them anyway and got our 1 night for the price of 1.5 nights. Pick up and drop off is $10 per person... More

Kia Orana Matt I believe your concern was the return transfer fee to the airport i.e. NZ$10.00pp. Company Taxi’s charge the same. To walk to the airport from Tiare Village would take approx 15mins with luggage i.e. pully case or backpack in tow Or by taxi 5mins. The option to taxi instead of walk was yours. After a three-week holiday in NZ, we thoroughly enjoyed 5 days at Tiare Village. Adrienne, the manager, was very helpful, friendly and kind. She picked us up at the airport (even though our flight was a bit delayed), and provided us with very helpful advice and suggestions for our stay. She drove us downtown in the morning where we were... More

Adrienne has a great set up at Tiare Village. I stayed there close to 3 weeks and wasn't disappointed! Perfect if you're looking for a independent casual stay that's reasonable but doesn't have that young hostel feel. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again at Tiare Village. Thanks again Adrienne!
