Got a good AARP rate of about $100 through the hotel's Web site (otherwise probably would have stayed at a smaller hotel closer to the historic center; this hotel was still much closer to the historic area than is the regular Sheraton). Traveling solo but only room with two beds available (thankfully, non-smoking). Hotel showing its age and low on... more

I ordered a car to pick me up at the airport. They sent me a cab, charged me as a private service and had to wait for another passanger and shared the cab! Upon arriving at the hotel, the cab driver gave me my huge suitcase which I had to carry up the stairs myself. Since the room was hot,... more

First thing, we booked at expedia.com and the price (not cheap) didn't include breakfast as usually most hotel deals in South America do. We were suposed to pay extra 12 dolars per person to get breakfast, so if you are going there, be sure to call the Hotel to get yourself a deal (instead of booking online) - you'll get... more

This place is the real deal. Modern, spacious, friendly, and at a great price. From the superb architecture to the courteous staff, everything is just right. Rooms are huge, well decorated and superbly equipped. Bathrooms have two sinks, separate shower and jet tub. The staff will get you everything you need. The location is a stone's throw from everything in... more

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. Both rooms we had were very large, had a huge king sized bed, and our bathroom was great. The breakfast every morning was really good and the service from the front desk was wonderful. It's maybe a 10 minute walk to the city center or you can grab a... more

The hotel is in an excellent location only a block from the main road of interest Av 18 De Julio. The rooms are large and comfortable with all mod cons, and are very quiet. There is a small pool on the top floor, along with a sauna and a basic gym. The breakfasts are not great by Sheraton standards but... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Sheraton Four Points in Montevideo and loved it! My husband is a Starwood member so early check in was not a problem. The location is within walking distance of most sights, but the hotel can arrange a city tour which we took and enjoyed very much. Our room was very large with a... more

After reading several articles on Uruguay, I decided to take a trip there and celebrate my 48th birthday. Being a Marriott Rewards member, I usually try to stay the 1st night at one of their properties after a long international flight. After adjusting to the new culture, I then try to go more 'local'. I was suprised to find that... more

We only stayed in Montevideo for one night, but the Four Points was pefectly located! It was very close to the main street that runs through Montevideo. Front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint - the toilet ran the entire time we were there, and it was difficult to... more

We stayed for one night at Four Points in Montevideo in December of 2006 at the end of our Argentina/Uruguay trip. The price of our king room was US$70:- including breakfast. This hotel still feels very new (built in 2005 if I am correct), rooms are modern and clean. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool/fitness center though.... more
