As ever I agree with most of what has been written before. This is a comfortable rather traditional hotel in a nice neighbourhood whose food both breakfast and dinner is well above average. Staff range from superb - Gonzales? on front desk - to surly. I have rarely been cursed so obviously by a bell hop under his breath when... more
The Beltmont House is a beautiful, luxury hotel in Montevideo, URuguay. There are many antiques in the lobby , library and other rooms on the ground floor. Our room was well appointed, and service was spotless. They make a point to be of help, suggesting places to visit, and printing out any requested information. For instance I asked for the... more

Pool is elegant and great for a dip and/or luxurious drink/food service. Location is also perfect: close to city (and the airport) but out of the fray. Just a couple of blocks to... more
