As ever I agree with most of what has been written before. This is a comfortable rather traditional hotel in a nice neighbourhood whose food both breakfast and dinner is well above average. The Beltmont House is a beautiful, luxury hotel in Montevideo, URuguay. There are many antiques in the lobby , library and other rooms on the ground floor. Into BA, buquebus to Colonia, bus to Montevideo, taxi to Belmont House which was a most attractive and welcomingd destination after a long travel day and night. The Belmont House was nice but not quite the dazzler we expected. And it's really not a five star property. First: the location....in a lovely suburban area but very very far from the city center and really not near very much. Stayed at Belmont House for one night....wish I could have stayed longer. What a great place! Hotel decor is 5-star quality. Staff is gracious and very helpful.
