'm in Oxford hotel right now. This hotel is a good option if you don't want to expend much money and have good night of sleep. Rooms are clean, the bathroom is good and good internet connection for basic use. But the A/c in my room was not in working condition. The staff is helpful. Break fast was good and... More

We stayed there two nights. I got the "runs" that lasted for 4 days. I'm not sure if it was from the breakfast buffet, which was second rate or from the restaurant that the hotel referred us to. The restaurant was extremely overpriced and we could not even eat the meat. My husband was charged $24 for one drink at... More

I booked in this hotel because it seemed affordable and everything else was booked. The place is not the best hotel in Montevideo, despite the luxurious entrance, but the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and is very well located from the Ciudad Vieja (downtown) where most of the touristic places are. The receptionists are friendly and willing to help.... More

From the moment we arrived, until the last moment we left, the Oxford personnel were very friendly, kind, and helpful with all our needs. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a 32'' TV, very clean. Probably the bathroom could be better (it is a little bit old). Our room didn't have a view, but we weren't looking for... More

Surely it's not a 3 * hotel. Very poor reception. They are more interested in exchanging money and sell tours than anything else. Inspite the room and the bath is reasonable, you 've to ask reception to turn on and off the air, and carry your own luggage through a tiny and slow elevator. The breakfast is fair, but always... Believe it or not: Besides the horrible hygienic condition, whenever you need to change the air-conditioning temperature, you must call the concierge in order he himself sets it. There is only one remote control for all the bedrooms, I guess. The linens were dirty and smashed. There were flies over the bread in the breakfast buffet and I was awarded... More

I'm in Oxford hotel right now. It's my second day in Montevideo and I can say this hotel is a good option if you don't want to expend much money and have good night of sleep. The room could be bigger, but it's clean, the bathroom is good and indeed I have good internet connection for basic usage (forget youtube).... More

Montevideo is a very old city, so we were not expecting the Hilton....although we had booked a 4*, expecting something decent. What a surprise.... Really basic room, with 2 single beds, where we requested a double bed, no extra's e.g. sewing kit, shoe mitt,etc... Only got 1 shampoo, 1 showercap etc....the bed was very uncomfortable. Needs a change of mattress,... More
