We stayed there for 5 nights and we didn´t have problems at all. The room was comfortable and clean. Great king size bed. Friendly front desk and the breakfast was good but not wonderful. This hotel has a connecting door to Punta Carretas Shopping, wich was very helpful. This was the major motive why we choose to stay there. The... more

I have stayed at the Sheraton Montevideo many times. I think the Belmont Hotel in Montevideo is better -- nicer rooms, more individualised service. But the Sheraton is a decent hotel and while it is nothing special, it is in a good location adjacent to the major shopping center, there is a decent fitness center and the staff are very... more

Of the three Sheratons we stayed in on our trip (Colonia, Buenos Aires and this one), the Sheraton Montevideo was the least interesting, but definitely comfortable and safe. It's connected to a shopping mall, which is extremely convenient (movie theatre, restaurants, food court and a huge supermarket). It's not an attractive location, but none of Montevideo (that I saw) is... more

I spent two nights at the Sheraton on business. As a single female traveller on my first trip to South America, I was a little cautious, but everything was fine. I arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm, in advance of the 3pm check in time, and they advised me that my room would be ready within 30 minutes, which it... more

It is well located, ideal for business. I would say a superior 3 star hotel. Room has a nice view , staff is friendly and efficient. Nothing exciting, but as far as I could evaluate, is one of the best options in Montevideo, and is fair for the price they charge. more

This was a great hotel. We stayed here only two nights. We were suprised with the great service. Though there was a language barrier, the staff were very friendly and nice and helpful. The hotel gives you complementary cheese/meat plates, which is always nice after a long flight. Nice little sauna/pool. Great location. Very satisfied. more

We spent about 3 weeks studying Spanish at a school called the London School in Montevideo in late November to early December 2008. We chose the Sheraton because it was the nearest to our school. It was a good choice. The location is out of the city center but that was better for a long stay. In fact it was... more

I stayed at the Sheraton Montevideo the week of November 15, 2008. From check-in to check-out I had a very positive experience. This hotel is fairly modern and the staff are extremely helpful and professional. I stayed in room 2314 which is on one of the executive floors. The room was large and bright and the bathroom was very nice.... more
