When I booked the Holiday Inn, I expected an average hotel experience, but I was surprized to have gone to good hotel for a fair price. Our other options were the Raddisson (One block away from the Holiday Inn) and some other lower class hotels, but chose the HI because of the proximity to city centre and the price. Our... more

This hotel had no bells and whistles, but it provided a comfortable stay in Montevideo. Our room was clean and up-to-date, and the services were good. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon, and the internet wasn’t working in our room. We were impressed that someone came in on a Sunday evening and fixed it. The hotel is located in... more

I recently spent ten days in Montevideo at the Holiday Inn and I can honestly say that my stay in this wonderful city was as successful as it was because of the highly professional staff at the hotel. Each and every employee went out of his or her way to be as helpful as possible. The hotel itself in an... more

After staying at the Tryp Montevideo a year earlier, I decided to give this hotel a try as we were only in town for two nights. Booking online via their official website was easy and we took the slightly more expensive option of a better room with flexibility of cancellation. We got a third floor room facing a wall which... more

Holiday Inn Montevideo is a small aging hotel in need of cosmetic repairs and updating of shower heads, hairdryers, etc. Our room was spacious but the TV didn't work properly and their 'fitness center' (advertized on their web-site) was unacceptable. The few machines in the tiny room didn't work and were potentially dangerous. This is what really bothered us as... more

In a mounth I spent many days at Holiday Inn in Montevideo, that was a sort of "stop&go" for our journey between argentina and south brasil. I always had clean, fully equipped and wide rooms. Service (especially reception) was great..they really never said us "not possible" and the maids were always present and punctual. Good breakfast included and great position... more

I am writing this review in Holliday Inn itself, at the end of my stay. Concerning the service, it is not good; I’ll list a few things that happened to me: 1.They say (at the website) that all rooms have internet. Well, mine didn’t. I had to come down to the lobby to use wireless connection (probably from the neighbor).... more

H I Montevideo was my first stop in a mini whirlwind tour of a few cities in South America. I saw neither scruffy nor grubby. I felt I got value for my money. I paid for a diplomatic suite online, in advance, but when I arrived in mid-August, they did not have my reservation. Problems with central reservation, they explained.... more

This is an ageing downtown Holiday Inn in central Montevideo. Carpets and furnishings are grubby and worn, which said it may be as good as it gets in Montevideo... But our biggest problem was with the hotel and Holiday Inns inability to communicate on billings. We booked our room as a 14 day advance purchase and rceived a confirmation email... more

The rooms are spacious and modern with plenty of amenities. The king-size beds were very comfortable. Our group of five had two rooms, a king superior room and a diplomatic suite. Total cost was less than $150 USD, and the suite had a Jacuzzi. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of fruit, juice, cold cereal, ham, cheese, pastries, beverages, but... more
