Seriously, I've been to more than 70 countries, and this its by far the worst hostel I've ever been to. Disgusting, run down, horrible rooms and even worse beds. Music from reception blaring all night, so good luck getting any sleep. Oh, and people smoking all over the place. I actually don't even know who is staff here, because everyone... More

We chose tihs place for the simple reason, that it was the cheapest place to stay in town. Our stay lasted for almost a week in Montevideo, and it is among the worst run places i've ever set foot in my life. Because it so cheap, it attracts a huge variety of characters, with all it's benefits, and disadvantages. There... More

Semi weird hostel that needs serious remodeling. I had a short stay in Montevideo on a 5 country tour for my bday in South America. I didn't read any reviews because I was tired and the bus ride was miserable from the airport. Had to walk 10 blocks from where the bus let me off. Montevideo is mostly monotone and... More

Really dirty hostel! There was weed on my bed when I arrived and I was told not to worry about it. Then the staff/friends of staff woke me up at 3am to try sell me weed! I couldn't believe it! There are way better options. Not very useful information about the city either.

I visited this hostel because it was cheap and it looked good. At first glance, it was also good, I and my friend booked us in for 2 nights, because we were going to some place else. First night I was put on a 16 people's rooms, and my friend on a 6 person room (with only girls). I diden't... More

I am a backpacker, 37yrs old, 40+ countries visited, travelling with partner. We chose this hostel based on the cheapest price and good reviews. Spent one night in 10 beds dorm on the first floor for 290pp. ROOM: 10 beds with super thin mattresses squeezed together, lockers in the room, sheets provided, no towels. The room has an air conditioning... More

Hostel with lots of social space, big kitchen and large rooms. It was difficult to communicate with some staff but they were all friendly. Good washing service, basic breakfast (only cornflakes). Rooms a bit dusty but beds were comfy. Most guests seemed to be locals.

My friend and I were trapped in Uruguay for a month because I lost my passport. However, this proved to be a blessing in disguise as I spent the majority of my time at Willy Fog hostel. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is spacious. Breakfast is flexible and the upstairs terrace makes for a... More

We had with my friends a great time in the hostel. What we really love it was the terrace, the reague music and the nice vibraations of the place and the people who stay there.
