I stayed there one night, usually I'm not so negative, but I have to write a comment here, for guest who wanna stay in a Hostel where they can sleep. Loud Music started at around 9 pm, which is not a problem, but it didn't get turned off till 3:30 am. There was a group of people who were "singing"... More

Could have been a nice hostel if they CLOSED THE DOORS. Everyones sitting around the communal area freezing to death. As soon as the doors where closed it was much more bearable. Bike hire, what bike hire? All the bikes are broken. Outside noise travel into the rooms really well.Hostel with potential but poorly run.

We stayed here in August - granted it's winter time in South America....but lighting fires and putting on the heating didnt seem to be an option in this hostel. Other than that - it was pretty enjoyable. Dinner in the evening was a really great experience and cheap too. They sold wine by the bottle, a treat for the weary... More

As with the other el viajero hostel we stayed in, it was just a bit grubby. The double room had been cleaned, but was still not to a good standard, with the partition between the room and communal areas broken. The bathroom was mouldy and had not been cleaned (used towels and bin by toilet). No window / extractor fan... More

My husband and I stayed in the dorms which were roomy, comfortable and clean. Even though it's an old building its maintained quite well. Our room opened up to the outside seating area so when it was cold, the room also felt cold. We met lovely people and wanted to stay longer but it was a shame that the dorms... More

I spent 5 days in Montevideo and loved this option. Me and my girlfriend take a private room with bathroom. It was very clean, the brakefast is good, not with several option, but great. The service is also great. Once we asked for a information at night and guy wasn't friendly to explain. The location is in the centre city,... More

Nice place, helpful staff. Though, some itens could bring more comfort like good fans, doors that close well and more attention paid to noisy people. Several services available but some are expensive (bike rent for example). I recomand it though.

....I don't think id stay at any of their other hostels either. This hostel didn't blow me away at all - which is what I was expecting from the reviews I'd read. It has the potential to be much better. Room 1 is so loud you will find it almost impossible to sleep, we ended up at 2am requesting we... More

I really recommend this hostel. It's too spacey, there's a garden with birds inside of it , the staff is super helpful and lovely and the night always is a great party in front of the garden area. Breakfast is good and fair. The only thing I guess it's a problem is when you want to sleep "earlier" (about 11pm... More

Great atmosphere, good installations, great location. Personal were very prepared. I would go to a private dorm with my gf but when we booked we didn't know she was pregnant, so we thought about canceling the booking because the city is very hot, so that they offered us another dorm with air conditioning with no additional cost. Unfortunately we couldn't... More
