We spend 2 nights in this hostel, and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Rooms were clean, it had quite good location (10 minutes walk to beach), and most of all great atmosphere! Also last night there was an amazing asado that was prepared by the staff. The nights weren't very silent. I had to use earplugs, but... More

Loved my stay at unplugged, the staff here is unbelievably friendly and helpful. Whether it was assisting me with exchanging money, teaching me how to prepare mate, or enjoying the night with a few beers. The rooms are typical of a hostel, nothing amazing, but not horrible. Comfy bunk beds, plenty of restrooms to go around, and a kitchen with... More

Very laid back with friendly staff who really want to party with you. They were very willing to help us with our spanish and taught us many naughty spanish words. The bar area is where you go if you want to bum some weed for free. They had a nice gas stove. Breakfast was the usual cornflakes and bread with... More

I stayed in the Unplugged Pocitos for a week and enjoyed every day of my stay! It's in a quiet part of the city and close to everything you need: supermarket, bus station, rambla... The staff is helpful and very friendly and the patio invites to enjoy a meal with other travelers! There are organised activities and I can definitely... More

I left another hostel and came to unplugged. It was excellent value for money and we were lucky in that we really got on with other people staying there. Because of that we had a good time there and drinking in the bar. Some of the staff were great and friendly, others were a little 'offish'. The kitchen was small... More

Chick working during the day is rude and told us we need to learn Spanish to be here, room was average at best, blankets look and feel like there never washed, upstairs there is 1 bathroom for 20+ people, and dirty. But the worst thing is the music blares from reception until 3-4 in the morning then starts up again... More

Despite that the hostel is in a richer neighborhood in Montevideo, the hostel is old and dirty. I had a dorm that was dark, hot and the floor was wood plates. The kithcen was okay, but the bathrooms weren't clean enough. My friends got a bunk bed that was broken - they were scared that the top bed would fall... More

Unplugged is a great location and is a good place to meet other travelers. It is more of a party hostel than a relaxing one, but it's small so you'll get to know everyone. There is a computer to go online, and the neighborhood around the hostel is very safe, walkable, and full of restaurants. This is a nice place,... More

Checkin took ages cos the receptionist was easy to distract. First room I was shown was so smelly, it did hit me when I entered the room like a fist and I could only breathe through the nose. Seccond room had a very dirty bed full of stains and was made of crudest materials, so you would easily catch a... More

We had just had a week in Buenos Aires in the middle of party central and needed a break from the noise and revellers. We came here on a weekend and found a charming and pleasant atmosphere with a simple but very quiet room (it was sound proof!). The staff were extremely helpful and the common area downstairs was pleasant... More
