The hotel is located in a quiet area nearby the beach and in walking distance from grocery stores, shopping center and bus stops. The staff is very helpful. It was a great surprise because I wasn't expecting too much from this place.

Due to Fog, we found ourselves stranded in Montevideo Airport, as it was an "act of god" American Airlines could do nothing. I did a quick search on Trip Advisor and found this hotel. As we didn't have long lay over, the hotel was adequate, clean shower, comfy bed, only one man on reception but he was able to provide... More

stayed there since we wanted something close to the Airport and for a single night only. Nothing in particular to complain about, except room being very Basic, poorish, more US$40-double-per-night-standard then the $75 they charge. Funny Detail, they are half love Hotel, half ordenary Hotel, but that doesn't disturb. But go there only if you must.

I stayed here because I missed a flight out of Montevideo. I thought I was only staying one night, however I ended up being 3 days in Montevideo. This hotel is good enough for one night if you are in a pinch...but If you want to sleep well, I would pay the extra $30 and go to a nicer hotel... More

This place is a Motel... First the rooms are very very tiny! I was really disapointed when I was presented my room... Not what I expected at all. No place to empty you suitcase only a cupboard, then, the washroom is not very funcionnal; can't take a shower without getting your toilet wet, no where to place your toothbrush of... More

First this place is not a Hotel, like they say!!! We had reserved a suite with a view of the sea and the river and specifically ask for a queen bed. We arrived at 1h30 am, an was given a smoking room (13) not larger than 8 foot x 8 foot, with old moldy carpet on the first floor! We... More

We spent a night in Montevideo, at the Hotel Bahamas. It was close to the Rambla, near a major shopping center and the airport. The room was clean, basic, and quiet. The staff were helpful, especially since our GPS tried to point us to another hotel apparently with the same name in the Old City, about 11 km away. They... More

Location is great, however: rooms are tiny and bathrooms inadequate (sink and toilet practically kissing, a heavy person could not even fit in the bathroom). Also showering was interesting: the water floods the entire bathroom floor....:( Finally, "Bahamas" was COLD. We arrived on a chilly day, in the 40's. The rooms were freezing cold and took some time to warm... More

Willing to book a cab. Staff very nice and friendly. Room itself is nothing. No reason to stay otherwise, but cheap and good for an early flight.
