The best thing about this hotel is the location: a quiet place surrounded by mountains. Also the decor of the rooms, which matches the environment, and the beautiful gardens. This is an ideal place to rest after the visits to the Sacred Valley. Good service and good breakfast. more

I enjoyed this hotel. This was one of 3 hotels out of the 9 that actually had a nice view from the window. Beautiful grounds. Spacious clean room and bathroom. Very nice breakfast buffet. Very nice and friendly staff. I do not have any negative comments about this hotel. more

Friendly staff, nice clean room with wood floors, good beds, new space heater, plenty of hot water! The flourescent light in the shower was weird, but the hot water is great! No TV in room but we didn't care. Breakfast buffet is fine, pancakes are cold, but that's not unusual. The eggs were good. Beautiful grounds and mountains! Good location... more

We stayed here for one night as part of our week tour around Peru. The grounds and views from the hotel are truly beautiful and peaceful. You're surrounded by mountains and gardens. The rooms are separated by small bungalow type of buildings. This was prob one of my favorite hotel stays while in Peru. Beware: the rooms have space heaters... more

We where only here one night and the grounds and location where so charming that you could overlook the negatives. This is a converted mansion and is a bit dated. Water flow in the shower is dodgy, no air conditioning and the reastaurant food wasn't great, but not bad either. I could not connect to the internet, but they reckon... more

This is a good hotel for the Sacred Valley. Good location for seeing the sites of the Sacred Valley. Expect US prices though. Not any deals here. $2 USD to wash 1 pair of pants, $6 USD for a drink. Bar either closed early or didn't open at all. It is safe and the staff if pretty helpful. I just... more

We really enjoyed the Casona Yucay. The grounds are beautiful. We were tired upon arrival and both got massages that afternoon. Great place to get revived! more

Stayed here with an OAT tour in October 2008. This hotel is located in the sacred valley in the tiny village of Yucay, so it's very quiet and rural. Nothing to see or do in the town, but a great location for exploring the sacred valley. This hotel was converted from a hacienda, and the owners did an excellent job... more

We spent 3 nights here in May, 2008 and were very pleased. The grounds are beautiful, the room ample size and clean, service friendly, breakfast buffet excellent. Dinner satisfactory though not as good, or upscale, as La Sonesta hotel across the street. Hotel made good arrangements for local taxis, including for tours to Moray and salt mines of Maras. Location... more
