This is a delightful hotel in one of the best settings I have experienced. The rooms are a little cramped but this is more than made up for by the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning sun was a delight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chapel in the grounds is well worth a visit.... more

An excellent hotel that is an old converted monastery set in the Sacred Valley on the outskirts of the small town of Yucay. Rooms were very nice, staff most helpful, restaurant very good and beautiful grounds. A fine location for exploring the area of the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, etc. more

Like everyone is saying, the location is a bit isolated from other busier market towns, but you can hire a taxi to drive you to Pisaq, and the driver will wait there in town until you're ready to go back to the hotel, or take you on up to the Pisaq ruins. The drive through the valley is very scenic.... more

What a wonderful haven between Machu Picchu and Cusco. A quiet retreat, this is a self-contained oasis. No need to venture out of the compound. Lots of atmosphere, character. Excellent service from reception to restaurant. Our room was charming and HUGE. I couldn't have improved on our stay in any way. Very quiet, very friendly, very clean...just fantastic. Everyone who... more

Beautiful property in the Sacred Valley. The employees were very professional, friendly and helpful. Originally we were given a room next to a crying baby. We went down to the front desk and they immediately offered us another room. Our room was updated and spacious. The buffet breakfast was substantial and included a large variety of hot and cold items--including... more

The hotel is located in Yucay, a small village in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The hotel is quite charmy, but outside the hotel there is absolutely nothing to do. If you like some kind of ambiance, restaurants, shops, etc. you´d better stay in Ollantaytambo, where there are plenty of things to do compared with Yucay. Besides this, the... more

There's nothing in this town to explore, but the hotel is fantastic! It used to be a monestary, so the grounds are calm and delightful. If you want to stay in the original buildings then ask for a room in the 100s and 200s. The 300s-500s rooms were built after it was converted to a hotel. My room (200s) was... more

Stayed here for one night after a change of plan on a tour of South America. Arrived late and left early, so not able to tell you much. Had a very welcome glass of wine when we arrived, and breakfast, which was good, before we left. The thing that makes me remember this hotel was the decor. It was an old... more

We loved the sacred valley but I wish we would have stayed somewhere else. The address to the hotel says Urubamba but it is not in any sort of city. Instead it is a very small town of Yucay and there is not much outside of the hotel. When we first got there they showed us to a room that... more
