Our OAT tour scheduled this hotel directly from Lima on our way to Machu Picchu. While we flew into Cusco, we immediately continued to Urubamba to gradually acclimate to the altitude changes on our trip. While the entrance was right by the side of the main road, the lobby and grounds were quite nice, reminding me somewhat of a rustic... More

We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. The room was clean. There was a space heater in the room that you could plug in and use if needed. Our room was a bit noisy. We had a ground floor room that was near the stairs and a main sidewalk area. We could easily hear the loud closing... More

Stayed for 1 night for a early start to Machu Pichu. Bedroom was cold with small heater, bathroom was freezing! The restaurant was very cold and unwelcoming, yet there were lovely fireplaces but none were lit!

Unfortunately we arrived late with our tour and left quite early the next morning for the train up to Aguas Calientes and our one day hike on the Inca Trail. The room was large and clean and very nice and the breakfast buffet the next morning was excellent with lots of choices. Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer to... More

This hotel is very spacious with fireplaces strategically placed arounf the main lounge area. Wonerful service by the staff and gigantic beds!!! Breakfast is wholesome and various with locally made foods served in the traditional way. The only downside was that the internet connection only worked in the lounge and not in the rooms so we had to get our... More

There aren't a lot of accommodations in the area, but don't be misled by the dusty road and rustic walls. Behind the gate lies an unassuming but clean hotel. The grounds are lush with beautiful flowers and plants. The breakfast buffet has both hot and cold foods with Peruvian cereals to try. Rooms are somewhat small with a TV but... More

The city itself is small and not developed, and approaching the front of the hotel, it appears there may not be much to it. However, upon entry, you will find a charming lobby with fireplaces and a view to a beautiful courtyard. The rooms are rustic but large and comfortable; my room on the second floor had a balcony just... More

This is a good Hotel. Nice rooms, good beds and lovely grounds. There is a swimming pool that looked well kept, but I didn't use it. Restaurant workers were run off their feet but did their best to serve us. Food was good and selection was great as well. I'd stay there again if I go to that part of... More

The San Agustin Urubamba Hotel was a very nice spot with a well maintained garden and pool area. The views were nice and the sounds of the roads seemed to disappear as we relaxed in the garden area. It was not a crowded hotel and the breakfast buffet was very good. We recommend that you spend some time here if... More

The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The town is only a mile down the road and you can pay a couple of dollars to have a tuk tuk take you. The buffet that came with the room is decent, it had several breads, potatoes, sausage, cheese and fruit.
