I spent two nights in the San Agustin Hotel, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day of 2014. My room was beautiful with a view over a lovely garden. The hotel is like an old monastery, long walkways with quiet corners, beautiful flowers everywhere. The breakfast buffet is delicious, served in a big room with view of the gardens in the center.... This hotel is built in resort style - multiple two-level buildings with a courtyard. The landscaping is beautiful and a picturesque central garden and a swimming pool. The rooms are reasonably sized. Maybe because of the eco theme, the units do not have any air-conditioning system. However, the windows do not have fly screens, and it is sometimes not feeling... More

If you like camping, this is one step above. Very basic with lovely garden. Don't expect an elevator. Don't expect amenities. You get one key per room making one person the gatekeeper for the family. On the positive side you can b buy

This felt like a 5 star hotel to me, probably because the next few nights were going to be spent in a tent on the Inca Trail. This IS a really nice hotel though. My room was quiet and large, with a bathtub, hair dryer, TV and patio. Outlets are 240 volts only. It was really clean and I liked... More

I stayed here two nights as part of a group tour. My room was large, comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water, good plumbing. But what I liked best was the view of the grounds from my small balcony. The hotel has courtyards, decorated nicely, and the grounds are filled with beautiful flowers. The breakfast was good, with fresh fruit,... More

The picture for the pool is taken is very deceptive as the pool is very small and not so blue. The landscaping was nice and the dinner we had was satisfactory (better than the breakfast). This is a small town and not much nearby. The room cleaning was poor. Did not provide glasses. Did not replace used glasses. Many bugs... More

We stayed here for two nights before the trip to Machu Picchu. Nice hotel with a swimming pool too cold to swim but it is there. Large dinning room for breakfast and dinner. We came with a group of 25+ people and hardly felt the room is crowded. There is wi-fi but very slooow, so don't expect too much. Try... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel on our trip to Peru. The room was large, it had two single beds (for flexibility for the hotel). Landscaping was nice, and there was a swimming pool, which needed cleaning. The bathroom was tiny. Food was good! We had one dinner in the huge dining room, and two very good breakfasts --... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a group. I was really not looking forward to this place but I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. I think this is an excellent value for money hotel. Staff is very hospitable and I had probably the best Peruvian food. Will definitely recommend.

We had a comfortabl room on the first floor. I really liked the hosienda feeling of the hotel. The convenience of local people selling their crafts was helpful and not over powering. A little bigger area or more seating in the lobby area would have worked better because of the tour groups. The restaurant looks out into the beautiful garden... More
