Outstanding time in the bar at the San Agustin with Ruth, the charming and patient bartender. Perfect instructions on the construction of the Pisco Sour. This hotel is in the Sacred Valley of Peru and is not to be missed.

This is a charming, clean hotel. It is about a 30 minute walk tot he town square, but there's not much to see in the square any way. You can easily catch a tuk-tuk for less than $3 US to the square. Little convenience store across street. Gift shop in lobby is decent. A local woman sits poolside and knits... More

This beautiful hotel is built around a courtyard - our upstairs room was spacious and clean - very high ceilings, a nice little balcony looking out over the garden. There was a pool but too cold to swim. Great buffet breakfast, English-speaking reception desk. We asked for a couple of things for our room (changed lightbulb and additional luggage rack)... More

Although it is on the main road this hotel seems really nice at first. It is well-decorated and pleasant. Then the bar across the street started up and forget about sleeping. There is a sign in the room that states the hotel does money exchange. However, when I went to the front desk to do so I was told they... More

This hotel is just a 30 minute drive plus 1.5 hours by train to Machu Picchu. There are beautiful views all along the commute. Rooms start at $55 USD per night. Quite a bargain when compared to staying at the only hotel located adjacent to Machu Picchu, the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, for $800 USD to over $1270 USD per night!... More

Like many others, I was here for one night between touring the Sacred Valley and catching the train to Aguas Calientes. The hotel grounds are nice. To update earlier reviews, there is now wifi in the rooms. My room got very cold at night, and the electric heater that was provided in the room did nothing to actually heat the... More

The hotel was convenient and was prearranged as part of our small size tour but.. The room was not completely ready when we arrived, bathroom toilet trash was not emptied and some towels were missing. The restaurant provided a very nice breakfast but dinner service was awful. Our guide had arranged for a flute player to entertain us but half... More

Our check in was efficient and quick. The room was reasonably decorated and spacious but suffered noisy dogs at night. There was good WiFi reception throughout the hotel, including our room. The dinner was terrible. The quality for food and preparation was very poor. I had bad stomach all night after eating the dinner. The service in the restarant was... More

Our OAT tour scheduled this hotel directly from Lima on our way to Machu Picchu. While we flew into Cusco, we immediately continued to Urubamba to gradually acclimate to the altitude changes on our trip. While the entrance was right by the side of the main road, the lobby and grounds were quite nice, reminding me somewhat of a rustic... More

We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. The room was clean. There was a space heater in the room that you could plug in and use if needed. Our room was a bit noisy. We had a ground floor room that was near the stairs and a main sidewalk area. We could easily hear the loud closing... More
