Hatun Wasi was the best place i stayed in my two weeks in Peru.It was the perfect place to travel and see the Sacred Valley and MachuPicchu. The grounds are impecible with beautiful flowers and gardens. They have a meditation room that was lovely and quiet. The food was delicious. This would be an incredible place to hold a yoga, meditation or bodywork retreat.I would... more

I was expecting something more organized, looks like the owners get ready every itinerary at last minute,I think,It`s not enough being located at nice valley like Urubamba, they have to improve many things like the acces to the hotel is a way in really bad condition without any maintenance, they have to give customers an option about another amenities like tv cable, internet, etc.I had... more

Like other reviewers, we traveled with OAT to the Sacred Valley and spent two nights in this lovely retreat. The owners, Ernesto and Isabel, were very personable and helpful. Because of temporary health issues, my husband needed some extra care. The owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. It was the perfect place to rest for a... more

Our small OAT group arrived at Hatun Wasi after of full day of travel from Lima. Our hosts welcomed us with warm cookies and tea. We relaxed in the porches in front of our rooms and enjoyed the colorful flowers in the garden, highlighted by the sun setting over the mountains. Dinner offered us delicious tastes of local dishes such... more

I was on an OATS tour that had to make a change to the Hatun Wasi resort compound because of the strikes and road blockages, so this hotel compound was new to all of us including the guide. We were met with smiling faces, warm tea and the most fabulous cookies I have ever tasted (and I was not the... more

This is one of the most enchanting B&B’s my wife and I have ever stayed at. A sumptuous breakfast was served each morning outside in the beautiful gardens. Our host, Ernesto (Isabel was traveling), was so warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with comfortable beds, lots of warm water for showers and so quiet and peaceful at night.... more

As the bus takes a turn down a dusty, unmarked road you wonder where in the world you are going. Your destination is a charming inn with large bedrooms and baths, fluffy towels and a beautiful starlit sky. The grounds are truly beautiful too. I have never seen such large geraniums! It was a wonderful launching point for our tour... more

Arriving late after a full day of touring Pisac, we were welcomed into a lovely garden courtyard by our hosts, Ernesto and Isabel. Tired and hungry, they graciously fed us on short notice and made us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, but the garden and hammocks were the best! While we had not pre-arranged... more

Hatun Wasi is a beautiful, magical oasis in Urubamba; a perfect jumping-off point to visit Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We arrived late at night, only to find that the surrounding restaurants were closed. Our lovely hosts Isabel and Ernesto whipped up a delicious dinner for the 6 of us, and by the end of the meal, we... more

I can't believe the negative review of this beautiful place. We traveled with OAT in May, coming to this place "by accident" when a strike changed our itinerary. We stayed one night before Cusco and one night after Machu Picchu. Both times were magical. The beautiful surroundings, the wonderful food, and the hospitality were beyond expectations.
