Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at KR. PROS: The grounds of the hotel are beautifully landscaped and quite peaceful. It felt like a little oasis. The 2 people that manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel, Carlos and Claudia are extraordinarily helpful. The cabins are spacious with fireplaces and the beds are huge and comfortable with ample blankets. CONS:... More

Let me start by saying that giving this place two stars is not easy to do. This place is run and owned by a very nice couple that are trying their best to run this place smoothly. Sadly, trying isn't quite the same as actually being able to do it. We stayed in a two room cabin which was very... More

Good day. Thanks for the comments although some are quite surprising. First of all, we are not able to identify the author of this comment so maybe it is not real, never the less we will start answering to each detail to clarify the points mentioned: 1) As for the crude appliances we have to disagree, the appliances we have... We had high hopes for KR based on all the reviews here. I came with my family (kids ages 8 & 10). We planned to rest and acclimatize here. Here are pros/cons based on my recent experience in Aug 2014. Pros: - Very nice managers and staff - Beautiful casitas and gardens - Amazing breakfast Cons: - Communication was good... More

We stayed here for four nights in a 2 bedroom house. We are a couple with a teenager son. The place is lovely, the house is beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast is wonderful. The managers Carlos and Tounette are very helpful and friendly. When I made reservations online, the manager Rodrigo offered his assistance with planning our trip, including... More

Kuychi Rumi feels secure and familial. The casitas are delightful, with comfortable beds, heaters and adequate hot water. To sit by the casita's fantastical fireplace with a roaring fire, a coca tea in your hand and one of the family dogs next to you is special. Breakfasts are excellent: eggs, delicious Peruvian coffee, quinoa puffs with yoghurt and honey. If... More

We stayed (a group of 5) at Kuychi Rumi in April 2014. It is a delightful haven - a lovely garden with exotic blooms, some wonderful, friendly and well behaved dogs outside, tastefully furnished individual houses to stay in with all amenities - and an incredibly helpful manager Carlos, who with his wife could not have been more helpful and... I stayed at Kuychi Rumi in May 2014. We had such a wonderful time. As someone had mentioned in another review, this place is really an oasis. It is fenced off from the town for security which is nice. When we arrived, we were greeted by Tounette and Carlos. They were wonderful throughout our stay! Our cottage was amazing and... More

Kuychi Rumi is no longer a "Hidden" treasure. Those who have been around the Sacred Valley of the Inca know this is the number one choice so place your reservations in advance. The experience at Kuychi Rumi can only be described as f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s! The well-kept rooms and wonderful location guarantee a peaceful stay. The surroundings are quiet and the whisper... More

Cannot say enough about our stay at Kuychi Rumi....wonderful lodging, gorgeous gardens and amazing people. Carlos and his wife were attentive to our every need. Carlos spent over an hour giving us a presentation he had prepared talking about the Milky Way and the constellations that were so important to the Incas and all other ancient societies for guiding when... The BEST place to stay while exploring Urbana and the Sacred Valley. Beautiful rooms and gardens. FANTASTIC breakfasts. Warm and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay there and didn't want to leave. Will definitely stay there again next time I go back!!
