Con - the location is pretty far from the city center or terminal and the cab ride back and fourth (one time) is about half the price of the room. Staff doesn't know much of the area nor what is available to do around. WiFi worked mainly in the reception and restaurant. Pro - amazing views, clean, quiet and has... More

We were taken here as part of our Sacred Valley tour and must say we were very disappointed. Firstly, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, 20 minutes out of Ollantaytambo and 2km uphill, going up a pot holed road. We finished our first day of our tour at Ollantaytambo and we had to be up early to take... More

This hotel is 1.8km up a pot holed track. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms large. I was disappointed that there was no tea making facility available, only luke warm coca tea in the reception area. Breakfast was not available until 6am and was the least good that we have had anywhere in Peru.

If you are looking for a fancy place this hotel may not be for you. The rooms are very basic, but the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The daytime receptionist (Shirley) was very helpfull and extremely nice. They had a box breakfast for us ready at 4:00 a.m. for our trip to Machupicchu. The hotel... More

This was easily the most beautiful place we stayed. The grounds were gorgeous - and the rooms were huge - the bathroom was separated - toilet in one room and the shower/bath in another. The hotel provided shampoo and conditioner. There was a space heater in the room - but it did little to take the chill off the entire... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my girlfriends. The resort grounds are beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. The rooms were cozy but chilly. They do have a space heater, but dress warm. This was a great respite from the hustle and bustle and a nice time to acclimate to the elevation.

We arrived in Hacienda del Valle after a terrible stay in Cusco where both my husband and I got altitude sickness really bad, maybe because we both had caught colds. We decided to skip the tour and go directly to Hacienda del Valle. There we got a beautiful room with really nice beds and slept for 20 hours with a... More

My husband and I, and two friends, stayed here first week of November 2014 and loved the setting. The hotel has beautiful gardens and the rooms were spacious and clean. On the downside, hot water in the shower was not consistent as we would suddenly get bursts of very cold water! The restaurant - although the food was good-to-excellent, the... More

We only stayed for one night prior to our visit to Machu Picchu and it was very handy for the train station (a short taxi ride). The hotel is very comfortable and has bungalow style rooms in fantastic grounds full of exotic plants and running water. The food wasn't massively special but I would certainly recommend this hotel based on... More
