Mariela's and her beautiful family make the best hosts after a long hike thru the Maras salt mines. The BBQ lunch was one of the best meals I had during our 2 weeks in Peru. A beautiful spot, relaxing hammocks, cold drinks, view of the river and super friendly hosts. We didn't stay the night, but the lodge appeared charming.... More

We traveled as a group of 12 from the U.S. Arriving at the big locked gate, I didn't know what to expect. Once thru the gate,it opened up into a lovely courtyard and beautiful grounds. However, it was the room accommodations that blew me away. They're set up as bungalow type dwellings with wide stone porches, french doors that lead... More

After hiking from the Maras salt mines, our tour was promised a traditional barbecue lunch. We entered through the gates of the Arco Iris Del Puente Lodge and found a hidden treat! Located along the river with covered outdoor picnic huts and an outdoor barbecue, it was a relaxing respite from the dusty trail. Our hostess was lovely, chatting with... More

Our group descended from the Maras area to arrive at this hidden gem. We were greeted by Pamela who prepared a wonderful barbecue for us. The grounds border the river and the site is peaceful. They even have two hammocks to rest ones weary legs. The lodge itself looked very inviting. My gut feeling is that Pamela and her staff... More

After an exhausted walking to Maras salt mines, we stopped to Arcolris del Puente just to take some rest. We had found an oasis! It was so nice and peacful, that we stayed all day! We layed to the deck chairs and the swings to the garden and the only we heared was the Urubamba river. Mariella is the owner... More

We had lunch at this lodge with a group of 11 on a Wilderness Travel trip. The food was AMAZING....so fresh and delicious. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. Mariela speaks English beautifully and is an amazing cook. The chicken and steak were marinated and cooked with homemade spices and sauces. It was really one of the best meals of... More

We had lunch at this cozy lodge, outdoors, overlooking the river, and the grilled chicken and steak were delicious with the chimmichurri sauce, freshly made with garlic, herbs, olive oil and lime. As U-S travelers with delicate stomachs, we felt confident about all the food, since it was prepared with our safety in mind. The lodge is run by an... More

We spend one week in this small but cozy inn, sourrounded by nature. Rooms have a good size and are overall bright, the decoration is cabin like, typical for the area and we found it very well located. The service is great, the owners are friendly and very well connected to the comunity. They know much about the area and... More

A Swiss family of 5, on tour in Peru... This is a nice place to stay when visiting around the Sacred Valley. We used it as our basepoint to go towards Machu Pichu, but also for visiting the ruins in Moray and the Salinas in Maras. For the Salinas, a nice thing to do is to get you droped at... More

This is a small lodge with great service and a great location. The rooms are simple, but very clean, airy and bright. The food by a local young chef was very good. The owner, Mariela Lazo, is also a guide with a lot of experience. She's based both in Urubamba and nearby Cusco. She knows EVERYONE in the area and... More
