We stayed here during our tour of Peru and were so upset we could only stay one night! Robert and Barbara were wonderful hosts and were only too willing to sit and chat about the area, Peru, and life in general. The lodge itself is stunning and very tranquil. The gardens are beautiful and Barbara has created a hummingbird sanctuary... More

Our small group needed a weekend getaway and had the good fortune of landing at Casa Colibri. From the peaceful environment, inviting cottages, the incredible gardens, fabulous foods and personal attention from Robert, Barbara and Rita we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you for making our weekend getaway just a bit more special. We will certainly return.

We have recently returned from a month travelling in Peru, where one of the highlights of our travels was our stay at Casa Colibri, in the Sacred Valley. What a gem of a place! It provided an oasis of calm amid the busy-ness of travelling, a sanctuary from the rush of sight-seeing. With care for the environment as fundamental, the... More

We stopped by Casa Colibri on our way to Macchu Pichu and we had the most charming stay! You reach the cottages through an amazing garden where you'll meet hummingbirds and a cute bunny. Barbara, Robert and Rita were very welcoming and sweet, and took some time to chat with us, give us recommendations and help with our travel arrangements.... More

Our family of four had a great time staying here. The casita was perfect, with a loft with twin beds for our two boys, ages 10 and 13. Barbara and Robert were very welcoming and helpful when we needed to make some additional plans and travel arrangements. The bunny in the garden is adorable! It's a lovely place.

Casa Colibri is beautifully situated in the Sacred Valley. it is a perfect place to have a breather in a busy itinerary visiting Peru. The individual casitas are very comfortable with excellent warm bedding for cold nights. The beautiful gardens attract many birds and the setting amongst the Andean mountains is stunning. Excellent for recharging your batteries. We were royally... More

This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Machu Picchu or the Sacred Valley. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to return to after busy days in the Andes. Flowers bloom everywhere on the property, even in the winter. "Colibri" means hummingbird, and yes, there are many. The owners, Robert and Barbara are delightful and attentive.... More

My son and I had a perfect stay here. The gardens are beautiful. The adobe casitas are quiet, perfectly and beautifully appointed. The attention to conservation and ecology is in keeping with the sense of Pachamama that infuses the Sacred Valley. Attentive and knowledgeable owners. A sanctuary which is the ideal place to stay when you are exploring. We loved... More

Casa Colibri lies in a quiet lane on the edge of Urubamba, hidden from view behind a high wall. The casitas are of a very traditional adobe construction under shallow, tiled roofs and arranged informally, effectively enclosing a large private garden. The garden is extensively planted with native and cultivated shrubs and flowers and was ablaze with colour when we... More

We stayed at Casa Colibri for 3 nights and my only regret is we couldn't stay longer! Barbara, the owner, is amazing! Even before we got there, she was always super responsive with emails and gave us advice for things to do in the area-going way above and beyond. When we arrived we were greeted by the staff; Barabra, Rita... More
