My friend and I had a wonderful stay after hiking Machu Picchu. This was our "splurge" for the whole trip. Yes it's more it's expensive than other options, but the property is gorgeous, the people were hospitable and fun to talk to and the town was perfect (especially for the Sunday market). The owners also own a cafe in Pisac... More

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting. It has a lovely garden for relaxing and you can also see Pisaq ruins from there. The room was basic, but clean and cosy. Breakfast was really nice. We really enjoyed a pancakes and good strong coffee. Overall we were happy. Joyce and her husband were super nice and welcoming.

We stayed 2 nights at MW to acclimate to the high altitude. Grounds are gorgeous and the Vila was clean. The beds are simple and hard which was fine for us. Breakfast was great but I would not recommend dinner at their restaurant. The complex is outside the village of Pisac so you need a taxi (3 soles) to get... More

Much of the information provided is at best out of date or basically misleading. The location is out of Pisac and down an uneven mud track. The walk back at night requires a torch or better still a mototaxi. They charge more to MW! The inside and outside accommodation is not wheel chair friendly since there are no lifts, no... More

The online description is very different from the reality. Nothing prepared us for the noise and disturbance caused by a ceremony in very close proximity to our room. Some sort of purging ceremony with loud drums, wailing and screaming lasted from 9pm until 12pm, creating significant negative energy right on our doorstep. The host, Chito, said that he found it... My wife and I and our three children stayed in one of the bungalows for two nights in March. The bungalow is on a hillside in a gorgeous quiet location - like an oasis. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. A nice touch was the wood burning fireplace that was lit for us. Best of all was the kindness and... More

My husband and I stayed three nights upstairs in the main house. The room is small and basic, but it is private with its own bath just across the hall. They provided a space heater which we used because it was chilly. Owner Joyce is sweet and speaks perfect English. She helped us to plan our activities in Pisac and... More

Melissa Wasi is a delightful place to stay. I was there in Oct/Nov with 2 adult daughters. We took one separate double room with bathroom and one Bungalow. Off the main road (so no tourist busses rumbling past), this B&B is built on terraces with colourful gardens and quiet places to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Very friendly owners... More

Having two days to spare in Pisaq I booked a stay at Melissa Wasi, for no other reason than its obviously pretty setting and facilities. I did not realise that it was a little walk out of town, but it was really no further than a 20 minutes of a beautiful walk past corn fields and the river. I felt... More

I should have written this review 5 months ago when we stayed there but I am finally sitting down to write about our amazing time at Melissa Wasi in May of this year. Our family of 3 (me, my husband and our 2 year old daughter) spent 12 days at Melissa Wasi and had an amazing time. Our hosts Chito... More
