Located right at the entrance of Ollantaytambo ruins, and 10 min walking from the train station. The service is first class. Amiability and always willing to help, Henry and his family will get you a breakfast bag ready for you to go on the Inka trail even if it is at 5 am.

We chose this hotel after the many positive reviews on this site. After making a reservation through booking.com; Cathy responded back to us promptly and helped us to arrange airport pickup from Cusco. Throughout our two night stay here, both Henry and Cathy were very accommodating. They granted an extra two hour late checkout at no cost; stored much of... More

My family spent few days in this hotel managed by a very kind family, they were very helpful above and beyond with what we needed. They helped us when we were not feeling well making us tea. They also had our sandwiches ready in the morning before 6 am when we were going to take the train to go to... More

We agree with other reviews that give La Casa del Abuelo top marks! Henry and Catty deserve nothing but positive comments for their hostel - it was a real pleasure to stay there. And yes, Mikaela is a very cute little hostess. Henry and Catty - we think you are very blessed to have such a beautiful little daughter! Henry... More

I came into Ollyantaytambo early in the evening with no room reservations and stayed at the first nice hotel with a vacancy on the road from the train station to the village center. Since that hotel had no vacancies the following night, I, trusting in Tripadvisor reviews, found myself at La Casa del Abuelo the next night in the heart... More

Only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed more! We were here the night before we went to Machu Picchu and it was perfect! Although the price was more than we would usually pay backpacking it was definitely worth every penny! The bed and warm duvet were like heaven, the room was spotless and a perfect temperature. They... More

Don't let anything fool you about this place. It is wonderful: spotless, quiet, tasteful. It is a family-run hotel with a little hostess to welcome you! The coffee is fantastic, which is part of the daily breakfast buffet. Your hosts are always available and will help you with anything you need. I cannot wait to return on my next visit!

Stayed here 2 nights and for all of its simplicity it was everything we needed! Clean, comfortable, and very friendly and accommodating owners. Decent breakfast and great coffee!!! Only real drawback was the noisy street below, but I doubt there is anywhere quiet in this little town. Would stay again!!

We stayed at the Casa Del Abuelo for a month in October this year and we have nothing but good things to say. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the ensuite bathroom has really hot water. Breakfast is simple but delicious with fruit salad, fresh bread and eggs to order and a real coffee machine. Internet anywhere in Ollantaytambo isn't... More

We found this place by accident, not having booked anywhere for our arrival from Aguas Calientes into Ollantaytambo in the evening. Ollanta is a small town and the hotel is about 15mins walk from the train station and a few mins walk from the entrance to the ruins and the main square. It's in a very quiet spot; we slept... More
