Ollantaytambo is a nice break from Peru's cities. It's more of a village, is walkable and is flanked by great ruins. The Apu Lodge just enhanced the feel of the town. There may be a better hostal in Ollantaytambo, but I can't imagine how that could be. The Apu Lodge has just about all you could ask for -- comfortable... More

I stayed two nights at Apu Lodge in July, 2015. The setting is beautiful, out toward the edge of settlement. Ollantaytambo is a wonderful place to be and the Inca ruins are incredible. The Apu Lodge is a short walk from the town's plaza, and about 15 minutes walk to the Inca ruins. If we didn't want to walk to... More

This charming lodge is nestled at the base of the mountain. You walk up a cobblestone street where no cars can go to get to the lodge. Someone from the hotel met us to transport our bags. It is simple, yet perfect. The beds were SUPER comfy (the rooms can get a bit cold so make sure you have warm... More

First impressions of the room were clean, good amount of space to walk around and put our belongings down, and very…orange. Bathroom with the usual suspects, including a standing shower. I’m trying to recall if the hotel gave soap and shampoo. I’d like to think if they did, it was very minimal, so it’s a good idea to bring your... More

This place was wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The rooms are beautiful, bright and comfortable. The grounds are peaceful, welcoming and well maintained. The staff are kind and helpful and clearly are passionate about the community to which they belong. Olly is a very special place and this is a very special guesthouse.

The staff is very helpful. The location is great and by far they had the largest family rooms of any hotel we stayed at. The decor is dated, but you are in Peru and by those standards is above standard. Great breakfast and truly the warmest welcome of any bed and breakfast we stayed at in Peru.

In Ollantaytambo, we stayed few nights in Apu Lodge. It's a very beautiful lodge, surrounded by a garden with nice flowers and the mountains. By walk, you can reach the main square of the village between 5 and 10 minutes. We booked a matrimonial room, on the 1st floor, which is perfect : spacious, clean, and confortable, with a view... We had a great one night stay at Apu Lodge. We asked for one room for two adults and received the second floor suite which had tons of room and a great view. We loved the hammocks on the grounds and the excellent breakfast. Ollantaytambo is small and Apu Lodge has a great location close to everything but also far... More

We stayed at Apu Lodge with our 4 children in June and loved our stay. The location and the views are fantastic. We had a family room for all 6 of us that was clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the included breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Apu Lodge is a great little B&B in a great little town. Located a few blocks off the main square at the end of one of the narrow little pedestrian streets in the original part of this Incan town, it was a relaxing little spot to hang out for a few days before my wife and I set out on... More
