Had two rooms for a family vacation. Hotel is just up the street from the train station making it very easy to catch the Machu Picchu train. Also easy walk to center of town. Nice rooms. Staff was helpful. We left bags with them when we headed to MP and they were collected by our arranged pickup without incident. Internet... More

I'd booked this lodge several months before our trip to the Sacred Valley and didn't know what to expect. After a few days in Lima and related, we flew to Cusco, then took a taxi to OIlantaytambo. The driver didn't know exactly where this was, so he asked someone in the town square (a delightful attribute of every Peru town).... More

Our family of 6 stayed at Apu Lodge for 2 days and loved it! Beautiful location, down a cobblestone street, an easy walk to everywhere. Quiet place to stay, great breakfast, very accommodating staff & hot water. The staff even left breakfast out for us on the morning that we left early to travel to Machu Picchu. The lodge is... Apu Lodge is beautiful. From the friendly and welcoming staff, the wonderfully maintained garden, to the fantastic views, Apu Lodge is the place to stay when visiting Ollantaytambo. The breakfast is filling and nutritious…coffee, teas, fresh bread, eggs, fruit, granola and locally made yogurt. The decor is simple yet inviting, with art by local artists hanging in every room. We... More

I stayed at Apu lodge for over a week and loved it. The view is incredible, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, staff was friendly as well. There is wi-fi and hot water, and the daily breakfast was well done. They were very accomodating and set out a to-go breakfast prior to my Machu Picchu visit, which I thought... More

This lodge is absolutely beautiful, secluded from the more busy streets of Ollantaytambo. It has stunning views of the ruins and valley, morning cloud banks over the mountains are just perfect to wake up to, and watch while you eat breakfast or meditate. Cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the lodge's location and views are! Only issue was the sleep quality.... More

We stayed a couple of nights and the Apu lodge is an oasis behind the wall. lovely gardens and hammocks. Difficult to find at first, but then it is a nice walk along the non vehicle cobblestone paths. Wifi was very slow but that is indicative of most of the places we found in South America rural areas. Ollantaytambo was... More

Apu Lodge is a charming hotel tucked away in Ollantaytambo. The short walk there (no car access beyond the main plaza) makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. The water pressure and hot water are amazing and I had the best sleep during my trip. Your stay includes breakfast, wifi in common areas, and luggage transportation to... More

We stayed at Apu Lodge earlier this month for just one night - wishing the whole time we were there for longer! Mike and Catherine are charming and helpful hosts and the lodge is in a delightful setting - a short walk from the center of town along a cobblestone pedestrian only walkway, with a lovely private yard and garden... Apu Lodge is in a quiet location out at the edge of the pedestrian-only part of town. Nevertheless, it's a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the main plaza, so the complaints about the location in some reviews here don't seem reasonable. The B&B has a large garden that I assume would be a nice place in which... More
