Apu Lodge is in a quiet location out at the edge of the pedestrian-only part of town. Nevertheless, it's a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the main plaza, so the complaints about the location in some reviews here don't seem reasonable. The B&B has a large garden that I assume would be a nice place in which... More

We stayed at Apu lodge for 5 nights in November. We enjoyed the staff - very friendly and helpful. They had many hikes to recommend that weren't in the guidebooks. The rooms were clean with clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good. The yard was wonderful place to hang out in with three hammocks, and several tables... More

We spent three nights in this comfy and homey little B and B, and we loved it. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful, doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Mike gave us great hiking advice. Also, we booked tours of the Sacred Valley with Apu Lodge on the way to and from the Cusco airport, which... More

This hotel is average. The outside of the building and patio are attractive but the inside lacks all of the details that make a B&B memorable. The beds are covered in ugly flower patterned bed covers that looked quite old instead of some attractive local textiles. The interior decor is non existent. The staff were friendly but the attitude was... More

This place is very nice and very safe. I found the staff to be very nice. I thought the place was overprized compared to what you can get at other places around the area. I recommend you stay on the second floor as you can hear people moving around upstairs all night long if you stay on the first floor.... More

Our family of 5 stayed here for a week in late September. The owner of the Lodge was very responsive to all our emails while planning the trip, and the caretakers and staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. We stayed in the family room, #25, which was GREAT. It was somewhat broken in to two parts, one... More

our group of 3 couples completely enjoyed our 3 day stay. We did not expect or need 5 star luxury but rather wanted comfort and character. The rooms were spacious and clean. But most of all Ruth and the staff were so helpful in every way. Early breakfasts, bag lunches, laundry and advice were readily available. The location was out... More

As we traveled through the sacred valley we stayed at Apu Lodge 2 nights. The second floor room had a excellent view of the ruins. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. The lodge is very close to the "Granaries" trail which is less traveled and offers a stunning view of the fortress across the valley. Excellent... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Apu Lodge, which is set in a stunning location with views over the mountains and the Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. The customer facing staff are mainly British and American and were friendly and very helpful. Our ground floor room was well sized and clean. It opened out onto the pretty and well maintained garden,... More

I think this place is a very average two star type place. Apu Lodge itself is situated in a lovely spot with great outlook and pleasant gardens. The lodge being a good five minute walk from the town was not a problem, a lovely walk through the streets. The place itself is very basic, no luxury here, but ok for... More
