in the center of Ollantaytambo, and just in front of the Inca temple, you have a very very welcome hotel, hotel people are very friendly, very welcome, the breakfast was earlier just for us, just the be able to see the sunrise on the temple from the windows of the room and the windows of the restaurant : many many... We spent a quick night in Ollantaytambo - this was a perfect hotel. We could have spent more time in this interesting town/inca ruin and this hotel was a nice place to stay. They accommodated our early departure with a boxed breakfast and we were able to pay for a boxed lunch for our trip to Machu Picchu. I would... More

Since I had read some mixed reviews about this hostal, I make it a point to report that we really enjoyed staying at Sauce hostal. The view is spectacular and the rooms spacious and comfortable. We also liked the family feel since it hasn't that many rooms. The owner was also very helpful in arranging a driver and recommending restaurants.

This hostal is just about a block from the main square of the town and just a few blocks from the train to Machu Picchu. We felt very welcome at this hostal. The breakfast was excellent. However, beware that the coffee served is "essence of coffee" which we discovered to be a very think, concentrated coffee. Once you dilute it... More

El Sauce Hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room and bathroom were clean and both were larger than we expected. We had an early departure for Aguas Calientes by train. The owner provided us with tasty hot coffee & tea, plus a tasty breakfast "to go" at 5:15am, when normally breakfast doesn't start until 6 or 6:30. We had no problem... More

We did not stay at the postal but had a wonderful tapas dinner there prepared by the new chef, Gustavo. He calls his new restaurant, Meija, and it is sure to be a hit. Wonderful fusion Peruvian cuisine prepared with care and served with style and sophistication. What a surprise in the middle of a small, Andean village. Yummy.......

One night here, in between visiting the Ollanta fortress and going on the train to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu. The town itself is a bit run-down, but that's a result of the tourism trade and the excess of cheap back-packers, and bus-based tourists. So I wasn't expecting much from this hostel. But surprisingly nice inside, rooms spacious, prices reasonable, great Peruvian... More

Perfect as a launching point for Machu Picchu. Incredibly quaint, cute and clean. Wish I'd stayed an extra night after Machu Picchu instead of heading straight back to Cusco. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Didn't bother me one bit that there was some language disconnect because there was no question they valued customer service.

Out of the three places we stayed in Peru this is by far my favorite, such a cute little hostel. The best breakfast with organic yogurt, honey, delicious cereals with quinoa and homemade jams (that you can also buy and take back for family and friends). It’s centric located, walking distance to the train station. Chela made us feel at... More

We found this hostel with tripadvisor, and it didn't disappoint us. The location is great, close to main square and sight seeing spots. Rom is nice and clean with hot shower and comfy bed. Friendly staff too. Breakfast is basic though.
