We loved our stay here with the views straight to the archaeological site. We were 3 friends travelling together and stayed here on our way back from Machu Picchu it was perfect for all of us. The room was spacious and welcoming and the staff were very helpful and attentive. There was an ATM in the lobby which was very... More

Many travellers choose to stay in Ollantaytambo as it is less than two hours away by train from Macchu Picchu, or as a pit-stop after travelling in the Sacred Valley. Sauce Hostal is located close to the town square and train station, making it a convenient location to find restaurants/cafe nearby or to travel to/from MP. The hotel is a... More

We stayed 1 night after our trip to Machu Picchu. The rooms are very basic and clean. The breakfast was good. Water pressure and temperature was great. The owners are very caring. Three small issues: 1. WiFi was very slow in the room 2. Language could be an issue if you don't speak Spanish 3. The prices seemed high compared... More

We had a one night stay here. It's a budget type place and good for what it is: hot water, shower, and bed were all good. The price that I paid of $100 per night was a bit high compared to what seemed like comparable accommodations elsewhere in town. But I do think this place has the best/ most convenient... More

We and two friends spent a couple of nights here. The rooms were basic but very nice and clean, plus we had a great view of the ruins. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and friendly, they even packed us breakfasts to go for our early morning train ride to Machu Picchu. It can get noisy at night time,... More

Here's the good: comfortable bed, clean everything, great staff, delicious breakfast, and best shower in Peru. Here's the bad: we were awoken every couple hours from the road noise. The hotel is on the only main road in town and it's loud. I sleep through everything typically but I couldn't there. I wish I could give the place a better... More

I had one night at this hotel - and it was the best sleep of the entire trip. I had a room with three single beds (for one person) so lots of room to stretch out. A block from the small town square and close to restaurants (don't expect anything too special). The young lady at the desk was very... More

We only spent one night here but it was quite pleasant. We had to leave before breakfast to catch the train to Machu Picchu and the proprietor provided us a breakfast to go. Nice country style decor. Handy ATM in the lobby. Clean and comfortable and quiet.

This hostel was excellent. Felt more like a hotel. The room was basic but very comfortable, clean and quiet. The location is great, right on the corner with one path going to the temple, another going to the train station and the other going to the central market area. Staff was very kind and extremely helpful. When all of the... More
