Ollantaytambo is located in the hearth of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and is the ideal place to take the train to Machu Pichu or visit other Inca monuments in the valley. The Ollantaytambo historical monuments are close to the hotel, and a visit is highly recommended. The hotel has a gorgeous garden, nice rooms, good restaurant and service more

The grounds and rooms are gorgeous. There is a fabulously laid out library with a fireplace and little conversation nooks. It is an exquisitely designed property. The staff ranged from very good to flaky (the reservation manager), but the concierge, Chris, is an extraordinary example of service and integrity. He was immensely helpful, going above and beyond in every possible... more

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Machu Picchu. Beautiful grounds and scenery. Very well maintained gardens. It was walking distance to the train station. Wish we had an extra day there. more

This hotel is lovely. The grounds are beautiful, although we did not have much time to appreciate since this was our base for the day in Machu Pichu. The hotel is set to handle your trip needs, with a huge breadkast ready by 5am, plenty of time to catch the 6:40am train to Machu Pichu. The train station is just... more

We booked this hotel through a local agent. The landscape is beautiful, the room is clean but it's a bit dated in my opinion, particularly in the bathroom. For the price of close to $150 US a night, I kind of expect a better room. There is no excuse for the average breakfast too. For about 1/2 the price, I... more

We just returned from our Peru trip, which included 2 nights at this lovely hotel. The grounds are just beautiful, with great views of the Ollanta ruins, mountains, flowers blooming everywhere. We thought the breakfast buffet was very average. Its location near the train station, central square, shopping and restaurants was fantastic. We would have stayed longer, but they were... more

In my humble opinion, it is just an average hotel. I don’t know what the other options are but it was pretty steep for US$140 a room a night, especially if you found out that you could have a dinner meal under US$2 in Ollantaytambo! (Eva restaurant near the main square, across the market – local favor, not a touristy... more

This was one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed. The beautiful grounds were perfect for unwinding and enjoying the incredible views. The bar was quiet and friendly and the assistant manager, Christian, went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Ollantaytambo has enough attractions to easily justify a two night stay and allow... more

Like the other reviews said, it's a great hotel with beautiful grounds. The rooms are kind of basic (like no TV, no flushing of toilet paper), but it's got a country feel. The property is full of flowers, hummingbirds, etc. We ate in the restaurant twice and really liked our food and the experience. It's about a 2 minute walk... more

We stayed only for one night, but the place was great. The staff were so helpful, they stored bags whilst we traveled elsewhere. The rooms were super comfortable, and the grounds were really pretty. We only did two meals there, but they were fine. Super location in a really quaint, little town. Only rested there, but some of our group... more
