Our tour group stayed here twice during our Peru visit. It was a pretty little hotel with beautiful views and very near the train station. The beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean. There were even two alpaca out front for photo ops. The only drawback was that the wi fi was weak. Eat supper at the Hearts Cafe... More

We spent two nights at the lodge resting up between two mountain treks. This was the perfect spot--a lovely setting, quiet, and attentive hosts .We had a superior matrimonial room in a new wing. It was beautiful, roomy, spotless, and quiet--but we did not have Wi-Fi service and the furnishings were sparse. We are guessing it will eventually be upgraded... More

This hotel primarily benefits from its surrounding scenery. The view out my window was snow-capped mountains, flowers, and if I craned my head to the left a bit, the Incan ruins up on the mountainside. The hotel's restaurant is also quite nice. I had the Andean Raviolis (raviolis filled with alpaca meat!) and they were delicious. Their pisco sours were... More

Why would you build a place in the mountains and have no heat? It gets into the thirties. My rooms was freezing and to make matters worse the water was at best lukewarm making a shower a frigid experience. They did give me a space heater but it was so bright it was like having the lights on.

I stayed at Tunupa for a night before heading to Machu Picchu the place is cozy and cute. The staff are not friendly but not rude, they just do their job. breakfast is basic. Rooms are alright single beds are a bit too small. They had fast wifi, hot water and provided me with room heater. the view from my... More

This hotel is in an ideal location for the early morning train to Machu Picchu and a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town for food, drink and the impressive Inca ruins. The hotel itself was pretty average - there was a powercut when I was there which can happen anywhere. The staff weren't particularly helpful or friendly and... More

We stayed here one night on our way to Machu Picchu. Rooms were clean and spacious. Our beds had plenty of blankets to keep us nice and warm. The bathroom was very nice, and our shower had ample hot water. And the view from our room of the mountains and ruins was breathtaking. The grounds were lush and chairs outside... More

This hotel is perfectly located between the train station and the center of Ollantaytambo. We were booked to stay here as part of a tour and it was my favorite hotel of the trip. Perhaps because it had shampoo & soap in the bathrooms (I had forgotten shampoo) and a hairdryer. The rooms were very clean, good sized and quiet.... More

We stayed a couple of nights when my husband was sick and had to abort the Inca Trail. They treated us very well, giving us a room on the first floor, not bothering with registration as we pulled up in an ambulance, and making a difficult situation easier. We were met by medical staff who turned the room into a... More

We spend one night at the Tunupa Lodge on our way to Machu Picchu. It was very comfortable and had great views. I wish we had spend another night there. The ruins in Ollantaytambo were very interesting as was the whole village. The hostesses were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. They served a nice breakfast. It is also... More
