We were on a 3-week, small group tour of Peru and stayed here one night. The room was comfortable. We had excellent blankets (I wish that were true of all hotels in Peru!). We had hot water for our showers (some didn't) and after a long day of traveling it was a luxury. The surrounding mountains create an ideal setting... More

We spend one night in a different (cheaper) place and it was very uncomfortable and noisy. Fortunately, we were walking around and found Tunupa Lodge! The beds were firm and comfortable. The location is quiet even though it is on a main road, you don't hear the cars and trucks. The view is fantastic. Owners are extremely nice. It's not... More

Very inexpensive hotel close to train station and a brief walk or taxi to either the local site or the main square. Staff are very accommodating; rooms are quite large with ensuites. There aren't many amenities at the hotel but if cleanliness with comfortable beds at an affordable price is your goal, this is a great hotel!

On the whole, we were very satisfield with the hotel. The location is perfect, especially for the short walk to the railway station for the ride to and from Machu Picchu. Super clean, modern, and fairly good wifi, including in the rooms. My only gripe was payment. Firstly, they do not accept credit cards, but with ATMs in town, this... More

We really enjoyed our brief stay at this lodge and enjoyed a room with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains The room was above average for Peru, plently of blankets for cold nights and a larger than average bathroom Staff were warm and welcoming, the wifi was good and breakfast was better than average for Peru (which is generally very... Ollantaytambo was possibly my favourite town in my three week tour of Peru and Bolivia and Tunupa Lodge was a great place to stay whilst there. Nothing would be very far from the station or town centre here but the location of this lodge just a couple minutes stroll from the train for Machu Picchu is nigh on perfect. Rooms... More

Hands down best place and value we stayed during 12 days in Peru, mostly staying in hostels. We are a family of four. Big rooms, extremely clean, beautiful, hard wood floors. Gorgeous view. WARM beds, which is very necessary. So many warm blankets many of us left some off. Easy walk to center of town, 10-15 min (not noisy). At... More

We had a mix-up in reservations and the staff made sure our bags got transferred to the other hotel and back again when we returned from our trek. The rooms are huge, the grounds are quiet and very pleasant with chairs to enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast is basic with rolls, fruit, and eggs along with fresh juice and good jam.... More

The lodge is located 200 meters away from the rail station and 5 minutes walking from the ruins and the centre. The lodge has a nice garden with pretty flowers and 2 alpacas moving around. There are also some tables and long chairs where you can have a rest and some sun (if the weather permits it). Rooms and bathroom... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights before Machu Picchu and 1 more night after Machu Picchu before Cuzco. It is close to the town square (5-7 minute walk or about 30 US cents per person for mototaxi) and its 3-4 minute walk from train station. This is a perfect place to stay before or after (or before-and-after)... More
