We thoroughly enjoyed a lunch and a dinner at this cafe while we were visiting Ollantaytambo. It sits on the main plaza, with a view of the mountains beyond the Urubamba River. We found the food to be excellent, especially the veggie burger (hamburguesa vegetariana), the quinoa soup, pesto pasta and guacamole. For lunch we loved the chicken empanadas and... More

Kıswar is in the centre. Very clean and good value. Jesus is your man in ollantay. He makes the best coffee in town and the food is also clean fresh and organic. All u want is in kiswar. There is also transport to hidroelectrica everyday direct at 10.20 am for 45 soles

I stayed here just one night (a short night). I arrived here at about 8pm. I was greeted well by the wonderful lady who runs this hotel with her family. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication, she didn't have the Hotels.com booking I had made. Not her mistake though. Fortunately, she had a room free. I paid her $27 for it... More

Hostel Kiswar Ollantaytambo This hostal is located in Plaza de Armas, in the very centre of Ollantaytambo (a small village anyway). Having read the very good reviews, I was disappointed. Basically, I didn't like my room, since: - It didn't feel cozy and very clean - It was noisy: I could VERY CLEARLY hear people walking down the stairs and... More

The physical plant is pretty basic but this place has soul. The people running it are amazing when it comes to help and caring! The location is great too. Close to the best , but not most expensive, restaurant in town, right on the square. .It is good clean basic shelter with people that will insure you are well taken... More

I spent two nights in Hostal Kiswar near the first of April, 2014. The family who run the hostal and restaurant were more than nice. Truly they responded to my every need...Edison got someone to pick me up in Cusco, his wife made me a nice soup, he stored and helped me with my heavy bag! My room was great!... More

This is definitely a one night hotel, or if you're happy with very basic, then this will work for you. We had a room overlooking the main plaza and although noisy, the view is well worth it. Room is very basic, beds are comfortable with enough blankets. It did rain that night and there was a leak in our bedroom... More

We had a few meals at their cafe. Good food. Great service. They make the best coffee. Only cafe that seemed to be open and serving coffee at 9 am on a Saturday. All the other cafés were not ready with their espresso machines yet. Great location right in the central plaza. You can people watch while you enjoy your... More

Stayed at this hostel one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The hostel is in the center square of the town only minutes from the Ollantaytambo ruins and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Rooms were great! Clean and comfortable. Private bath and hot water. They have a Internet cafe in the lobby of the hostel... More

a very clean family operated hotel on the Plaza de Armas. reasonable rates with an excellent restaurant. I paid 45 soles about 17USD for one night and continental breakfast included. I found the creaking floors very comforting, it is after all an old building but all is fresh inside.
