Hotel Sol has probably the best location in all Ollanta, right by the Patacancha River, uphill from the train station and between the main square (Plaza de Armas) and the ruins. Rooms are nice, ample and comfortable. And the view from some of them and the breakfast area is just amazing! The whole place has been tastefully decorated, and they... More

Hotel is charming, not an American chain hotel. Bed and lines were comfortable. We had the first train to MP and they fixed breakfast early for our party of 8. When we checked in a desk clerk went out and purchased bottled water for all of us and tried to assist me with finding a band aid for my blister.... More

We stayed here one night on route back to Cusco after visiting Machu Picchu. The location is convenient just at the top of the road from the train station. The room was ok, nothing too impressive. The wood floor had some spots that were cracking and caving, so just had to be careful where we stepped! The beds were extremely... More

A fantastic hotel with great service, clean rooms and comfortable beds well located by the river in Ollantaytambo - I would recommend it as a good place to stay. You can see the fantastic Incan ruins from the hotel balconies and its just got a great atmosphere and is a relaxing haven whilst travelling through the Sacred Valley in Peru.... More

A very comfortable place, with comfortable beds. About what we expected. Stayed here a couple of nights bracketed around our trip to Machu Picchu. They arranged for a pickup by taxi at the Cusco airport direct to the hotel. Price was a little high in comparison to going rates, but the convenience was worth the extra. On the return, they... We called last minute and got a wonderful room next to the river. The room is basic but clean and the views from the balcony were spectacular. Rene made sure that the next morning we had a wake up call and boxed breakfast for our train ride to Machu Pichu.

We booked a 'matrimonial' room with a balcony...when we arrived the desk clerk said that the hotel didn't have any rooms like this and put us in a family room without a balcony....when we arrived back the next day from Machu Pichu....they had packed all our stuff without asking and moved us to the miraculously appearing 'matrimonial' room.... 1) you... Hi and thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback - we really do use it to try and constantly improve our hotel and service. We reviewed your situation and found that we should have handled things differently as well explained the situation more clearly. We have implemented a few changes to improve both our procedures, as... More

The hotel is right next to a river and has a beautiful courtyard. It's conveniently located between the ruins and the town. Nice view of the river and ruins from hotel room. Room is basic, but clean and safe. Ollantay is well worth to spend a night. It's nice to walk around before the tour buses pour in. Stone streets... More

Good location in town centre, on way to train station. Near ATM. Room was large enough and there was heating when I was there. Breakfast was ok and included a fried or scrambled egg. Driver picked me up from Cusco airport but was late. The company they recommended to arrange Machu Picchu ticket wasted a lot of time and failed... More
