we had a great stay at Iskay. They arranged a car from Cusco with only a couple of day's notice. As per other reviews, it's perfectly located on an old Inca road in the old part of town. We had room 7 with the view of the ruins and a private garden. All facilities (wifi, hot water etc) worked as... More

I debated booking this hotel, because it seemed a bit rustic. However, I'm so glad I did! Ollantaytambo is really convenient to Machu Picchu (fastest train ride to Aguas Calientes), and my husband and I liked the idea of being able to walk to/from the train station (about a 10-minute walk). The unexpected bonus is that Ollantaytambo is a quaint... More

We stayed at Hostal Iskay for only one night and wished it had been longer. The staff spoke excellent English and were gracious and welcoming. The hostal is in a quiet street away from the main road, with beautiful gardens and a view towards the main Inca ruins. It is part of the old cobble stone city with charm and... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by Hostal Iskay, which is tucked away on a quiet, narrow alley a few blocks up from the main square. Our room, with a queen bed and a single, was huge and very comfortable, with big windows facing the town's main ruins, a big bathroom, and a semi-private garden with a nice bench. It wasn't... More

Our 3 night stay at Hostal Iskay was very nice with very pretty gardens and very nice staff. Based on previous reviews I booked room 7 two months in advance via email. The room was quite large with a good sized window and private garden area. It was clean and there were fresh flowers in the room. The view looks... More

The hotel in itself is good enough, even if rooms are rather small. The great positive point is the nice sounds from the river close by. It made us sleep great. Now, I've removed one point from my initial 4/5 because of the very bad breakfast.

We arrived in the Sacred Valley on the third day of our 2 week trip. Our room included a queen bed and a single bed and amazing picture window with unreal views of the mountains and nearby ruins. The beds were comfy and the shower offered plenty of hot water. Breakfast included coca tea, eggs, meat, bread and jam and... More

POSITIVES: nice rustic decor. availability of kitchen with gas stove as well as microwave they held our bags when we visited MP. NEGATIVES: Our stay was in 2 parts--we checked in on Nov 228th and got a small room--no 5. We had booked twin bed room , they wrote back saying only double bedroom was available though our booking had... More

Loved our stay. Jose was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and providing us with our breakfast box for our early trip out to Machu Picchu. We stayed in room 6 and it has a stunning view! Definitely rustic, and we did have some ants, as mentioned below, but it wasn't a huge issue.
