As a solo traveler, I stayed at the single room for two nights (I was visiting Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu). It was seriously the best hostel I have ever stayed in Peru! The room was immaculate, the hot water came out nicely, the bed was so comfortable, the internet worked brilliantly (although not as fast as in the U.S.), and... More

Ollantaytambo was a neat little town and the Hostal Iskay was great. Nice rooms, helpful staff, good location, good prices. Very pretty scenery. Small communal kitchen and TV room. Got our driver through the hostal and he was great too.

Cristina was a great host, making sure I had everything I needed and she even gave a great overview of the town and various logistics. The room was average for a hostel. Perfect size for one backpacker but quite basic architecture. Breakfast was included but was barely edible. The coffee was like mud but got me my caffeine fix.

We were amazed with Hostal Iskay! Where do I begin? First of all, they were very helpful with getting us tickets to Machu Picchu. The website to get tickets was not working for us, and Hostal Iskay offered to assist us with buying our tickets for a very nominal fee, and we were so appreciative. They also let us leave... More

Iskay is a very cute small hotel that has all the essentials for a backpackers' hostel or a short stay on your way to Machu Pichu. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One con is that it is hard to find. It's on a road that has no vehicle traffic and google maps does... More

Stayed in one of the private rooms - close to the center of town (much nicer than staying by the train) and beautiful views from the courtyard of the ruins and mountains. Our room had a massive main bed and normal sized smaller bed, and the shower (hot water!) and wifi both worked well. Breakfast was also a decent serve-yourself... More

From the Plaza de Armas of Ollantaytambo it's about a 3 minute walk to this great hostal. Hostal Iskay is a nice quite place and very affordable. We were there for 2 nights and when we got there we were nicely greeted and shown to our rooms. Hot water was available in the showers which was nice after doing the... More

My husband and I spent a night at the hostal Iskay. I was really looking forward to our stay here as it looked beautiful on the description and pictures. Also, during the booking process, the member of staff I was exchanging emails with was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we experienced a totally different vibe when we arrived at the... Very clean and beautifull rooms ; excellent buffet-breakfast ; lovely garden. Charming and quiet location in the center of beautifull small town Ollantaytambo. Price/Quality : excellent (remark : stay in Ollantaytambo to explore the Sacred Valley; many possibilities to hike, very near to KM82 to start Inca Trail Trek) I can recomment to anyone a stay in Hostal Iskay in... This hostel just blew us away. It felt more like a little boutique hotel than a hostel. The staff were all super friendly and the rooms were immaculate. There were excellent views all around and a lovely garden that you were free to walk around. They were very geared up for travellers heading for Machu Picchu as breakfast was available... More
