You should stay here! The view alone makes it a worthwhile experience. We had a nice, clean room and great breakfast at their restaurant. Plus, the staff was so helpful in the weeks leading up to our time here. They responded to all emails immediately and helped us buy Machu Picchu tickets. Cristina especially was fantastic. I would definitely recommend... More

We stayed in Hostal Iskay for one night before taking an afternoon train to Aguas Calientes. We had a family room for three, it was kind of a separate cottage with our own little garden, full of blooming bushes. The room and the bathroom were super clean and comfortable. The whole place is located on a slope,so the rooms and dining... More

This was my favorite hostel during a three week trip in Peru. Hostal Iskay makes for a great base to explore the Ollantaytambo area, or to just chill out. Lluc and Cristina, the owners, are wonderful people with a wealth of information about the region. The rooms and grounds were super charming and beautiful, the breakfast buffet was great, and... We stayed at Hostal Iskay for 2nights in June. The lodging was very comfortable, and there's a nice breakfast included. Staff was very helpful. The location is great--looks out toward the ruins. We appreciated the fact that they supply ample purified water, to decrease use of disposable water bottles. All positive!

We found Hostal Iskay by searching for the perfect place to stay in Ollyantambo where we wanted to catch a train to Machu Picchu. Not only did we find the perfect place to stay but also did we change our plans by looking at the tours & treks they offer. We contacted Hostal Iskay immediately about their treks and got... More

Got in late after taking the last train from Aguas Calientes. The staff quickly showed us to our rooms and postponed check in until the morning due to the late hour and our tired condition. We loved the free breakfast and the free water at the front desk to fill our water bottles. The wifi worked from the room which... More

Our family of three stayed here for 3 nights, 02-04 July 2014, in two rooms. Everything about the stay was excellent - the service, the breakfast, the beds, the cleanliness, the plentiful hot water, the views and the location. Loved the location - a short walk off the main square (why would anybody want to stay right on the square... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, speaks best English in Peru. Excellent location, great views. There was slight problem with payment. We paid cash in USD and first they didn't want to accept 100 dollar notes, and when we broke them into twenties in one of the exchange places they didn't want to accept those because they weren't crisp new bills.... This hostel fell far short of our expectations. First, it is one of the pricier hostels in the area. When we arrived, we discovered a miscommunication (partly my fault due to not understanding their terms) about the room left us 1 bed short. They told us they would charge us 100% if we went elsewhere, so my niece and I... More

My friend and I visited Perú for two weeks in July of 2003, and of all the hostels and hotels in which we stayed, this was our favorite. We didn't want to leave! Pros- -friendly staff during visit, helpful manager via emails prior to visit -small property, attentive, friendly service, located on a quiet, secluded street - We booked the... More
