The Waman Hotel is pretty average. Rooms are functional and smaller than they look online (more like an NYC size room). Generally the hotel and its rooms are more dated than the photos advertised - but clean. The staff are friendly and the wifi is good and the TV reception and channels are a highlight if you have not had... More

We stayed here as part of our Llama Path trek and were not disappointed. This hotel is very nice but not over the top. We had a matrimonial room which was very comfortable. Showers were hot, cable TV was a nice addition and breakfast was the best we've had so far. I'd have liked to have stayed another night!

Stayed one night in Aguas Callientes. Wish we had chosen a more upmarket hotel. In a side street at the top end of the tourist village. Small rooms with thin walls and poorly functioning plumbing. As we came by train we had very little luggage but storing large suitcases would be difficult. Breakfast on the top floor was OK but... More

First, be aware that Aguas Calientes is busy year round and is an enclave in the middle of the mountains. It is what it is. Having this in mind, we greatly recommend the Waman Hotel if your budget cannot handle the luxurious hotels. The hotel is conveniently located four blocks from the bus ride to Machu Picchu and the train... More

I suppose everything in A.Calientes is expensive, but i didn't think that this hotel was as great as the reviews make out considering its cost. The double rooms are very small so if you have a serious amount of luggage then you will wonder where to put all of your things. If you do book here, then get a twin... More

Good location. 2 Minutes from the Machu Pichu bus stop in the morning and 5 minutes from the train station. The beds were very comfortable, and just what we needed after trecking. Hot showers and a great breakfast.

A hotel rep comes and meets you at the station which is much appreciated. The front desk staff are very friendly and lovely and make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. My only qualm is the the bathroom desperately needs a shower curtain! The entire room gets wet due to water sprinkling everywhere and Condensation on the... More

When selecting this hotel against much more expensive ones, I was told by my tour company that it is at least clean and has hot water, so I wasn't expecting much more. I was amazed at just how fine a place it is. It's not 5* deluxe, but for the decor and room was excellent and far far superior to... More

We stayed here the night of July 9 after hiking the Inca Trail and visiting Machu Picchu. The hotel was great- quiet, clean and absolutely wonderful front desk staff. Breakfast was good... and we got eggs as we wanted them. The top of the hotel "observatory" place is nice, but too warm in the middle of the day. The hotel... More
